Petition: I want YoshiP to Fantasia to Hrothgar for a Month

Can we also add he must play on an NA server so he can experience bad ping and understand it can ruin an experience, and also he must do roulettes every day to interact with the community. If on Primal, if he gets put into the queue some people are in, he might lose his mind. The 7th time with timmy the silent tank spinning the boss with all level 90s totally 'not trolling' would at least bring me some catharsis. Also he has to go through the entire story every last quest back and forth and than he can also feel how amazing it is that the quest is also called back and forth and you get the idea the person naming the quest was laughing at you.

Actually maybe he should be allowed to go dps at some point to experience the 15 minute queues that are totally not happening.

Yup.

And I’m not asking for any class restrictions either. I think some playtime would be helpful but:

1) We all memed on the SCH changes which were so badass they got nerfed - he knew something we didn’t.

2) If I wanted restrictions on the classes I could play, I would also still be playing Warcraft.

3) If I make something too big an ask, he’s not going to do it. I can’t duct tape the dude to a desk for a year, or direct the development staff to focus on things, or make him barrier heal and nothing but in PvP. That’s not what the game is about, is it? For anyone?

And yeah, I’m asking for him to play my choice, but I think anyone’d be hard pressed to say they’ve had less attention, or customer service or more double-standard double-talk regarding clipping.

It's how they wish to punctuate their points. There's nothing wrong with it, and I hope they continue it, personally. Not everyone is going to write the same way, just like how not every Hrothgar is going to have ears now.

oooh you are right it would be worse but ocn's community doesn't seem as weird at least at the moment. I would be pleased with any of this really. gosh I can imagine the ping he would have from jp to ocn. holy cannoli it would be horrible, but perfect.

Me too! Honestly, that's just the perfect idea.
As a hrothgar player myself I kinda gave up, especially after we got those horrible new wigs "covering" our ears. But you guys gave me the strenght to join the the battle once more

Everyone here is just assuming that experiencing whet they're like will make him change his mind, but I highly suspect Hrothgar are the way they are because Yoshida doesn't place the same value on constant redesigning of his character.

He's been playing the exact same Lalafell with pigtails and the Minfilia dress since forever. I don't think it's just for branding, because it would be such good marketing to switch her to the latest Mog Station thing and new hairstyle, or even new in-game fashion to show it off, but he chooses to keep that specific design and never change it.

I think if he was told to play Hrothgar, he well may do the same. Pick one design that appeals to him and stick to it. He'd come out of the month saying "yes, Hrothgar look great".

I agree. And I also think constant redesign isn’t required to see the new armor wasn’t designed with Hrothgar in mind when he shows it off and the collar’s a mess

And if he does, he does. I don’t pay his sub. So, the reason I ask is that I think some time as Hrothgar he’d see that the clipping was pretty bad. The lack of customization was not great. And he wouldn’t have to play high-end, or really any content to do it. I presume he’s pretty busy.

I would like him, personally, to look at the back of his own head and see the hair clipping through the collar when he turns in the new armor. Or announce the new idle stance in a PLL with light leaking out his hairline and his skull distended about 6 inches off the back.

And then if he says “Yup, looks great!” at the very end? That’s a subjective opinion, and he’s allowed to have them.

So I wholeheartedly agree with everything you’ve said - that said, I can’t force anything. I can only say “There were 8 choices to begin with, and when you say ‘we can’t add more because they clip’ maybe Hrothgar won’t be as much of an afterthought.
