Petition: I want YoshiP to Fantasia to Hrothgar for a Month

YoshiP should play a Hrothgar WHM for an entire year to really let it settle in the lack of good glamours and poor gameplay.

This isn’t a punishment. I was asked last night what I’d be if I weren’t playing Hrothgar. Lalafell? Man-Bun Viera?

I said “Still playin’ Warcraft.”

Not just WHM. The draw of the game is you can play any class/role you like. Play BLM if you like. Or tank. I got beefs with other class balance things, but this isn’t about “Yeah, and,” and it isn’t about him playing it forever. Just a “free trial” of being Hrothgar.

There are plenty of good glamours, just some frustrating limitations.

Just him.

Just one month.

For real though, it's pretty clear the devs have been favoring their own races and classes for years now.

We need some serious walkin' a mile in someone else's shoes, pronto.

The problem with just one month is that he can very easily play out that month and forget everything he might have learned, its a short period of time especially when put against the amount of time he has already invested in the game. Also as long as he is reasonably entertained by BLM also he isn't going to be very worried about short comings of his race selection.

So let him. Objective is not, as a social jury of his non peers to sentence him to Hrothgar life.

If he’s the perfectionist he says he is, let ‘im look at my collar for a bit.

If he actually cares about appearance or hairstyles or customization lets see what Neko-ki Yoshida looks like. See what ‘do he picks. He liked ‘em enough to put ‘em in production without feedback.

If he cares about how the race looks, let him do just one PLL introducing the next seasonal event or treasure map or idle stance with a parasol as Hrothgar.

It is, as you’ve said, a short period of time. I want it to be a short period of time.

I want it to be a small ask involving a small number of people.

I don’t care what class he plays or doesn’t. Or likes or doesn’t.

I don’t care what bug fixes happen or don’t or what he stops or starts working on. The housing lottery broke, there are class balances that need doing, representation and design decisions and blah, blah, blah; there’s crap other than my hair that needs looked at.

If he forgets, he forgets. If he plays out of it, he plays out of it. I am asking for the smallest thing for which I know how to ask.

You know, though it wouldn't be my go-to solution, I'd be interested to see if he would actually do it.

Yup.

And I’m not asking for any class restrictions either. I think some playtime would be helpful but:

1) We all memed on the SCH changes which were so badass they got nerfed - he knew something we didn’t.

2) If I wanted restrictions on the classes I could play, I would also still be playing Warcraft.

3) If I make something too big an ask, he’s not going to do it. I can’t duct tape the dude to a desk for a year, or direct the development staff to focus on things, or make him barrier heal and nothing but in PvP. That’s not what the game is about, is it? For anyone?

And yeah, I’m asking for him to play my choice, but I think anyone’d be hard pressed to say they’ve had less attention, or customer service or more double-standard double-talk regarding clipping.

Can we also add he must play on an NA server so he can experience bad ping and understand it can ruin an experience, and also he must do roulettes every day to interact with the community. If on Primal, if he gets put into the queue some people are in, he might lose his mind. The 7th time with timmy the silent tank spinning the boss with all level 90s totally 'not trolling' would at least bring me some catharsis. Also he has to go through the entire story every last quest back and forth and than he can also feel how amazing it is that the quest is also called back and forth and you get the idea the person naming the quest was laughing at you.

Actually maybe he should be allowed to go dps at some point to experience the 15 minute queues that are totally not happening.
