    Considering how BRD got treated in Shb and how MCH has been treated since Shb... nah. Tis a good idea in theory but I feel like healers being lumped with support would some how make them worse instead of better.

    That's just my 2 gil though. If SE would like to prove me wrong come 6.2 with AST...

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    But what support are all Healers providing right now that is not just healign or dps? the damage buffs from AST and SCH? seeign as similar ones are on various DPS classes, that doesn't seem to be a support feature to SE.

    I don't believe it's the same people. If it is, then there's a split personality disorder that occurred across all team members whenever someone said "PVP" in the office, because the PVP job design is some of the best job design we've seen in the game in a while. I'd be all for redesigning the entire game with this concept, as a 7.0 "we're not adding in new jobs, we're reworking all of the originals" kind of deal. Some tweaks in numbers, more buttons to press, a few angelic/demonic Anglo-Saxons to push them on or around, and we'd have ourselves a Final Fantasy.

    I don't know. Personally if I kill whatever is killing my party members, well isn't that also keeping them alive? feels pretty satisfying to me.

    I've been having a lot of fun with sch in pvp and its like, super hyperly simple. They can totally make simple things that are fun they just don't try.

    They let balance get in their way. Which doesn't make much sense since it's pve. Everything just needs to be viable.

    I don’t think the PvP skill design should be our Hail Mary call here. It isn’t that good. It’s good in the context of PvP, but it makes zero sense in a PvE context.

    I completely get the excitement over something new shiny and different but please don’t lose sight of how encounters currently work in the process of that evaluation. A lot of what makes PvP healing good is actually a bit of an over correction in a PvE context.

    I’d much rather draw from how Blue Mage conducts themselves in a PvE context if we’re going off the rails.

    to me the PVP kits show that with very few buttons theres plenty of room for interesting kit synergy and class fantasy. They could easily give healers some dps mini rotation if they wanted without bloating the jobs if they got as creative with pve.
