I guess I am just a smarter frog. Unlike a lot of people here, I actually have the sense to quit for months and years at a time whenever I don't have a raid group and am tired of playing the game or don't like its direction KEKW

There's honestly no period of time I'm starry-eyed over because I feel as if I was thrown into the ringer during the aforementioned 3.0-3.1 period and quickly learned to adjust my expectations accordingly. Maybe this'll be the wake-up call that a lot of people need to realize what kind of game this is- i.e. one you can't really have any expectations for and is just kinda there. I feel the game gets a lot more enjoyable with this mindset.

When did you join the game? If you started around 3.3-3.5 then you actually did start around the period where the largest number of unambiguously positive changes happened to the game, especially if you didn't raid that much so you didn't have to experience the complete and utter disaster that was the Coven weapons and RNG starsomething gear or whatever it was called.
