VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

Now hear me out, they could design more outfits/ armors/ helmets/ headgear around Viera & Hrothgar instead of trying to force them into gear that wasn't really intended for them

That would be a dream. I did have a thought about a week ago; what if SE brought in a Hrothgar and Viera NPC to hang out in major cities as a 'hat maker' who are able sell headgear to Viera and Hrothgar? I'm not talking about an extensive variety, but at first just the basics such as RDM hat, BLM hat and then they can continue from there... If our heads are as 'unique' as they keep saying, and if they are persistent on flaking out on our race-exclusive hairs, I don't see why we can't have a fair compromise. Just so we can at least look the part of the classic FF classes. I'd still like my ears poking through though - the level 89 reaper hood made it look so perfect.

I know the whole scenario of us getting more headgear is unlikely, but I still like to imagine.

Oh I agree. I know it's a bit premature, but I sincerely hope whenever there's a new Final Fantasy MMO they'll do the Viera's and Hrothgar's justice (If they appear)... Like, completely go all out on the whole 'beastial' aspect of them. Digitigrade feet, proper race-defining outfits and really make them stand out.

I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing, continuing to ask that we get what we deserve in this game, regardless if I think they will actually ever do it or not. It seems they will relent, like with hrothgar. If we came together and asked for custom viera styles, we could get them. Maybe even more custom headgear. It isn't impossible. Hrothgar players rejected their new hairstyles, and Yoshida, even if he says it will take time, is willing to do custom hairs due to the backlash. I can be pretty negative at times, like earlier, but I actually just want the best for the game and the race.

I still catch myself saying "we" with viera. I guess I still consider myself a viera player, no matter how much I try to cope with the situation. I probably always will.

I like those little details as well. I still remember the Kojin questline, they remark about your race. I think the viis tribe on the first will also do the same if you are a viera.

It's the only way we will see change. That hopefully, some day, they will see our feedback, and listen. If we stop, and accept what we get, nothing will ever change, and may even get worse. Viera/hrothgar deserve better.

Because of this I make my protest in my signature. So even when I'm responding to another thread, I'm silently still making the problem visible.

Still sad both genders couldn't get those feet and the inhuman short waist and long limbed proportions... the feet I can see being troublesome, but it's odd since Elezen/Elvaan are known for their long limbs and long necks and they got those carried over just fine. The male Au Ra manage just fine with their body type as well. I can only dream...
