The developers are aware of the issue, and aware that people are rightfully upset about it. I really fail to see how piling on additional vitriol and personal insults towards the developers is supposed to accomplish anything.

Sure I have called things done incompetent at times because it truly feels this way sometimes. But by all means will I treat a corporation with any degree of respect. A corporation is not a person. I will treat the people involved with respect, but not a faceless multi billion dollar corporation. Square as a whole will never be talked nice to it is not a person but a brand. Just as EA for me will never receive respect because it is not a person, it is a name for a business nothing more.

It doesn't, but these are the same people that scream bloody murder because they're hidden behind a screen. Anonymity can get you that far, I say such people should get perma banned.

Businesses in the US have a habit of appeasing that kind of behavior because they see it as a shortcut for getting more likes on social media which ultimately just gets more people to behave like that.

Sure, it's a domino effect. Valid criticism is perfectly fine, sending death threats to anybody, let alone the developers, is not. Just shows how people really are in this so called "wholesome" community in this game. It's hypocritical.

Not to mention it drags down valid criticism. The housing situation is a mess. But the devs know it, and are actively working to fix the problem as they should!

Death threats meanwhile hurt everyone. The players who are shit out of luck and the devs.

Will not threaten developers most random but when you at best fail to ignore zero and at the worst null entire database during maintenance I must question how you still have a job.

I am not sure average age of player base but most of us have RL job probably and we will often get unhappy, frustrated, angry costumer even if we do our best, sometimes turns out their complaint actually makes sense.
It is something bad when you do your job with love.. and a few costumer bother you with negativity (sometimes for very minor things) but it is what it is.
I am sure SE team mature enough to handle it as long as people keep it civil.
