    Crafting *thank you*

Since release crafting has been tedious and dull. I started crafting today, since patch, and was delighted what I found out through my super smart rookie friend and what my eyes partook of.
Crafting is now super awesome! I feel bad for enter mashers and crafting botters. :/
    Enjoy crafting everyone! *cheer*

It feels like I'm failing more often now. Of course failing isn't nearly as bad as it was before, but it still kinda irks me. Oh well, still nice job with the exp boost, makes me feel like crafting again.

I like that the system rewards you fairly well for using all HQ materials, but the exception seems to be for 51+ synths. It seems really difficult to get more than 50% chance of HQ with all HQ materials for that tier of crafting.

kinda makes sense though since no one is that level yet.

I was out of town when the changes hit, and I regret I didn't try the crafting changes before I answered the survey. Crafting is really fun now. ^^ Please do not change it.

I've noticed that better gear makes a lot bigger difference now. Make sure to pick up as much craftmanship/magic craftsmanship/control as you can, maybe have a separate set of craftsmanship and magic craftmanship and use trial and error to figure out what stat each recipe uses and gear specifically for that. Food also seems to help quite a bit, at level 38 Alchemist 12 more Craftsmanship from food makes a bigger difference than you'd imagine.

Also, if you're trying to go for higher quality for bonus XP getting the base stats your tool needs (STR/VIT/INT etc) helps you get more quality per action.

And don't forget the whole 'rested exp' bonus now! That makes me feel like I'm progressing a lot more, too. Crafting is definitely more enjoyable now, and something I look forward to as opposed to something I dread.

I'm also happy they increased the 'time' it takes for each action to time out... (or at least it seems this way... maybe I'm crazy?). I like to do other things while crafting, and the increased time allowed makes it easier to alt-tab (I play windowed for this reason.)

HQ crafting is awesome. The excitement of seeing skills land, progressing without a fail, boosting that quality... Man... I'm so glad to see this system now reward those who have multiple crafts leveled, granting access to greater number of useful skills. I think i ripped off some of my hair because of the thrill. Reminds me not to craft while keeping one hand in pants anymore.

I like the new changes from 1.21. Crafting feels more intuitive and less grindy.

I still would like the system to make better use of the skills. I want skillful use of crafting abilities to be important just as it is in battle. Now, the changes they made are a step in the right direction. Making a clearer distinction between standard synthesis and careful synthesis made it more crucial to balance the use of crafting types and avoid spamming one action.

One way I think they could make skillful use of abilities more important is eliminate the timer reset after each ability is used. Have a set time for each item you are crafting based on the difficulty; finished good or material. Then you could have modifiers for the length of time based on the DoH class equipped. I'd also like to see introduction of a party element for crafting highest and unique items.

Maybe this will happen with the introduction of Free Companies. Anyway, just some stuff to chew on.
