Probably best to avoid that if you're attempting to make yourself visible to protest against something.

What about the Ananta emote? It's unlockable in-game, and it's still reddish. Actually flashier than /cheerjump too.

But if you want an ARR-friendly emote, I'm guessing some form of dance, though it won't have particle effects.

im honestly burnt out on this. i don't know what i'll do if they outright refuse to address this at the upcoming Q&A, or go along the lines of "this is what you asked for".

I'm considering whether or not i want to keep playing Hrothgar when i get treated like a joke by the devs, and get treated like crap by other people. The anti-furry people aside, there are the ones who act like i spent the last 3 years having a complete crying meltdown because i didn't get shared hairstyles, and are now saying im entitled for being super unhappy over the UGLIEST hairstyles they could have ever possibly put on large muscular male cats

I made this remark in another theead, but I guarantee you, if this happened to the bunnies and/or miqo'te? The SE headquarters would be on the headlines for having more holes than swiss cheese from all the pitchforks. Sorry hrothgar, but you're effectively third class citizens.

Being a third class citizen is also why people don't want to play this race, it sucks and they should have never added Hrothgar, to begin with, if this is how they would treat it.
And what annoys me is the statement that cancelling our subscription over this is exaggerated, but think about it, people love and some even identify with their WOL, wouldn't such a player then be in the right to feel upset when they are being gaslighted and ignored for 3 years and then insulted with such a bad joke? And right after being treated with ignorance again? All the while when a certain item on the Mog station was changed in a few days when it was discovered that it made Au'Ra and Miquo'te tails disappear? It's blatant favouritism! And I am sorry (I am not actually sorry), but when you develop an MMO that has different races, you lost your favouritism privilege and have to treat everyone equally (And that is doubled in a subscription-based MMO).

Same. My disappointment grew gradually with Shadowbringers. At the start we had interesting characters, like Magnus or Runar. But hints that Hrothgar lore and the trauma they went through would be brushed aside were clear with Radovan and his "stop being traumatized, gosh such a painnnn" friend. I was excited for Bozja, since it felt like it gave Hrothgars a bit more natural integration into the game. But when it did come out and I saw the most god awful story clichés being used and Hrothgars being constantly abused on-screen, I just gave up. Dabog for sure was the last straw for me. To even Endwalker having no voiced Hrothgar whatsoever.

I didn't stay these 3 years shouting off the top of my lungs that I wanted this and that. I thought to myself "surely, as bad as Hrothgars are being implemented, and content around them being all over the place and slightly disturbing, SURELY the dev team won't just abandon a race, right?". So I just kept quiet, like many others. Sure, I posted here and there about how Hrothgar truly did have to pay actual money to change hairstyles, something no race had to do. And that Hrothgar had the same problem Vieras did, that we were on the same boat. But I never went to Square Enix's livestreams to spam them. I had hopes it would come eventually.

Knowing this is what we got just makes it feel sour.

When Au Ra were released, and even now actually, people complained that a lot of headgear was clipping massively around their horns. Even now Miqo'te point at their oddly clawed hands. Players who say these things never stop to wonder how they'd feel if it happened to them. So they just throw bullshit comments.

If it happened to these races, they'd for sure complain and they'd for sure get so much backlash they'd move. But we're not them. Cruel as this may be, sometimes I wish that it happened to those races just so that it didn't constantly feel like Hrothgars were third-class citizens. Just so that people would understand and be outraged enough to make them move.

I wish Yoshida would address this. Not just the whole hair thing, modding thing, whatever. The mere fact that their Hrothgar players have been feeling like this for the better part of 3 years. From the dev team, from the content, from the community. A feeling they have fostered. We may only be 2% of the playerbase, but we're not settling for 2% effort.

I don't want to resub. I'm only resubbing because if I think really hard of everything else I do enjoy in the game, and the fact that my friends play it and I have loads of fun with them. It kind of hides how bitter it feels. So it will only be for this month, but I won't be back anytime soon. And I'm someone who's often on the game.

I'm not crying, I'm not shouting. I'm incredibly disappointed and have been for a while.

I won't change my race, because there's no point. This is who I want to be, this is what I want to play as. And if Square Enix can't realize that people take their own content seriously and connect with it, then it's on them.
I won't quit the game because I do enjoy it. But I feel like I don't want to come back. To more of this? To logging on to a character I feel I'm not allowed to enjoy? Lovely.

I've said all I had to say in these forums. I'm just repeating the same drivel on and on. Sorry to make you all hear the same thing over and over. I'm going to take a break from commenting (many of you will thank it xD) and try to enjoy what else I have from the game. But know that my experience is indeed spoiled and that I feel the treatment this really cool, unique and chivalrous, honourable race has been getting is appalling.

Yeah. I'm honestly a bit conflicted. I love Hrothgar. I feel that that is what my WoL really should be. But I just can't get past the limitations, so I play something else. Part of me wonders if more people actually played the race, maybe they'd actually get some attention. But it is also entirely possible that things would have played out the same way regardless since other races are arguably too popular in some regards.

The worst part of the treatment? They only added Viera because of fans begging for it since ARR. Hrothgar was something THEY wanted to add. But as we've seen, Viera apparently takes priority in every blasted field. At this point I've gone from being indifferent to Viera to hating their inclusion, as it's apparent at this point that Viera is the reason Hrothgar cannot get anything.
