No. I was expecting them to address the low population with the idea to open cross region with NA at least. Not utter radio silence. Everyone knew OCE was going to be extremely low pop.

To be fair, I play from NA and my ping is hardly ever an issue. I can run most, if not all content and watch other people die while I dodge and do my normal thing without an issue. Wouldn't blame that as a reason for others to not play on it and I've had friends from EST, CST and PST try it out.

Instead of being rude about it and making assumptions, why not go make an alt and try out the ping yourself? Chop chop.

I play with an alt on Sophia and I live on the East Coast of the US and the game plays fine for me. I do get a Poor Connection status on my log in screen but that is the case for my alt in Japan as well and the game plays fine there too.

Look, if you have 80% GCD uptime (like some posters here do) it really isn't a big deal to play with 200 ping. The fact that your animation lock is pretty much doubled isn't a problem if you just don't press buttons.

But that doesn't mean that XIV is "playable" with decent performance with such ping.
