To be fair, I play from NA and my ping is hardly ever an issue. I can run most, if not all content and watch other people die while I dodge and do my normal thing without an issue. Wouldn't blame that as a reason for others to not play on it and I've had friends from EST, CST and PST try it out.

Instead of being rude about it and making assumptions, why not go make an alt and try out the ping yourself? Chop chop.

Im from NA and have no issues playing there as well. If they dont want to lets us cross-travel with the JP servers then NA wouldn’t be bad option

Check my profile. I play on NA and so does my OCE community. Ping isn't an issue, never has been and I nor my community asked for an OCE datacentre. Happy they offered it, sad they leaving it to rot.
