Honestly, for as many problems as the game has, which it does have. I would stand to argue that some of the proposals that people have on how they would 'improve' this game would just leave it in a much worse state than it otherwise would be.

The game isn’t simple as far as systems. I currently have about 15 different currencies in my WoW currency tab. Borrowed power is a huge problem in the game. The classes and specs are pretty simple though. Their mythic + dungeons are the same dungeons they’ve used for the last two years with just different affixes on them. It’s boring. Adding more health or having the mobs do more damage isn’t new or fun, it’s just takes longer. It’s not new content to add things like exploding orbs in the same dungeons either. The current raiding system is pretty bad too. The raids are built around using addons and having double legendary powers and tier. It’s a ton of chores to do endgame. Not maxing tomes or just doing the raids once a week like ffxiv, but hours of work per day. To unlock the vault items is pretty bad too, 8 dungeons per week mythic+, rated pvp, or running 9 raid bosses just for one pick from the vault. I honestly don’t want to see this game go in the direction of WoW at all. It’s bad enough the game is destroying itself. If you want to take something from WoW, do the opposite of what they’ve been doing since Legion.
You have to remember a lot of youtubers that cover FFXIV content are endorsed by SE in some way. Do you really think if John Doe made FF content with a smaller channel that was not endorsed by SE went through the same experience as Zepla and lost the same FF merch. Do you think SE would have sent them anything? Do you not think it is weird that certain content creators are brought to interview Yoshi P but some one like Xenos is not invited? You have to be fairly ignorant to ignore these facts.
That's the point of feedback, we are not making the final decisions but we are giving an opinion of what is wrong and what should change. We are not the game developers we are the consumers. Do not get that confused.

I've seen people defend the pre-ShB MCH whose class mechanics made very little sense, Bowmage, and even advocate for making Carbuncle "the future of new SMN" despite the rework doing us the favor of untangling damage from disobedient pets. This place has got it all.

Oooh is this another WoW broke because it went casual?
Lemme check the previous thread
Tbh I think Xenos not being invited had more to do with him having been banned and having a more antagonistic attitude. You have to remember a lot of youtubers that cover FFXIV content are endorsed by SE in some way. I like Xenos content I think he's funny I am not saying that as a jab at him or anything, but I think it's less about only inviting people who are positive and more about inviting people who won't potentially cause a scene.
I don't actually think that Xenos would've I think he's capable of being serious and putting his persona aside for it.
But from the devs pov he's a guy that has been banned before who yells a lot and calls them morons etc.
I actually liked '' Bowmage '' lol.I've seen people defend the pre-ShB MCH whose class mechanics made very little sense, Bowmage, and even advocate for making Carbuncle "the future of new SMN" despite the rework doing us the favor of untangling damage from disobedient pets. IMO games falls 3 different category when requiring player engagement..
1. Engaging game play requires thinking and planing ahead of fight, using resources correctly.
2. Easy game play with minimal player engagement, pushing 1-3 buttons while observing fight.
3. Auto play games (mostly mobile) requires no player engagement.
FF between 1-2 depending which job you are playing which content you are doing.
SE probably have decent in game data regarding player activity and choices, they will decide what kind of content they will push based on this data (it makes sense, majority of player base main factor while deciding game direction).
My personal opinion if they turn FF minimal engagement / auto play type of game, I will go play something else, recently started soul series with elden ringI think this kind of games I am looking for.
Sorry for grammar errors, English not my primary language. Regards![]()
This sounds more like an excuse to just discredit someones opinion just because you dont agree with it.You have to remember a lot of youtubers that cover FFXIV content are endorsed by SE in some way. Not to say that there isn't likely at lease 1 person in SE's pocket...but I doubt every single person is being paid to say nice things or get emotionally driven in invested into the game...might as well just say WoW was never good because all of its praise is from Paid Actors...
Silly Right?
Those facts dont dictate other peoples experiences. Xeno, or Asmondgold getting interviews or sent stuff doesn't mean their experience or any praise of the game is bought out.
To say it is based on said facts, sounds more like you just want them to have the same opinion as you, and if they dont then its influenced.
This has nothing to do with defending systems, but people proposing methods and content that just trade-off one poorly designed system for another poorly designed system. Proposing systems that in arguably some cases detract from a multiplayer experience, simply because of their own preference with how they play the game, and does so through using the story element of the game, despite the very fact these systems could equally be designed through having a multi-tiered difficulty in the solo instances, or equally so having the base foresight to develop these and scale them at end-game as opposed to the endgame, because, you know, you can attach more replayability by doing that than you could be having it tied to the baser MSQ. Yes, I'm staring at the people that think trusts are a good approach for developing an extra difficulty tier.I've seen people defend the pre-ShB MCH whose class mechanics made very little sense, Bowmage, and even advocate for making Carbuncle "the future of new SMN" despite the rework doing us the favor of untangling damage from disobedient pets. This place has got it all.
But yes, you're right about one thing, the forums certainly have it all, doesn't it?
Feedback is good when the feedback is a well-thought-out and coherent solution when thought about logically, and not out of spite for pre-existing systems. Not that I disagree, but there is a point where solutions become so outlandish that it is counterintuitive for getting a point across. On the note of Xenos, wasn't he prior to that media tour temporarily banned for vulgar comments, if so, I'd think it'd be fair intuitive why he wasn't invited, at this point, it's just clowning around with needless conspiracies.
