Unless we fill this whole forum with separate threads of the same topic. Surely they cant ignore that.Dude, I don't mind if people are frustrated - I'm not sure why you're speaking to me as if I'm against the Hrothgar getting fixed. Calm down because we're both on the same side.
I'm just saying having two exact same topics complaining about the same thing is not beneficial, dividing the feedback is pointless because SE only pay attention to viral threads. Mine is nearing 800 comments and 80k views, why make this one the new 'complaint megathread' when the topics about the new hrothgar hairstyles?
It takes "a lot of resources" to create new hair that will pass QA so it looks good in game by the fact it does take manpower to actually create an idea that is feasible in game, create said idea in game, ensure it looks good and doesn't clip too badly with the gear in game, ect. but the style choices seem very lazy considering the devs went so far as to remove the ears from the model. That seems like very little resources went into these choices considering the hair styles are already in game. As someone who has heard them say they are removing content per patch since the HW days it's all become tiresome. So again, how does ESO look now a days? I really gave it the cold shoulder back in the day but at this point i'm willing to give it a shot.I always thought they were a lot of resources to do, at least that’s what a lot of people spouted and said in ShB and how they explained the less glams given. Unfortunately i don’t know much about software and resources etc but i figured with how many people said it it was true.
I hold hope that some of our JP friends might get the chance to ask him directly.
Honestly, while i will say the combat in ESO is a bit oof, everything else seems amazing so far from what i’ve played. (without derailing this thread more than it already has been i’ll just say the zone exploration is very nice and fun, lots of things to go out and look for, fun quests with diverging plots depending on what you choose and hey! They have a lion themed race that can actually wear headgear and has multiple hairstyles without cutting off their ears!)It takes "a lot of resources" to create new hair that will pass QA so it looks good in game by the fact it does take manpower to actually create an idea that is feasible in game, create said idea in game, ensure it looks good and doesn't clip too badly with the gear in game, ect. but the style choices seem very lazy considering the devs went so far as to remove the ears from the model. Not going to read through 61 pages but... has anyone else questioned why Hrothgar can't just wear all hats and have the ears hidden, considering we now have it for hairstyles?
How am I yelling at anyone? If you're taking what I say in a negative way, then you should log out for a bit and calm down. I know tensions are high but there's no need to turn on me when I'm just trying to help.no, what i'm saying is that squaresoft has PR teams dedicated to addressing issues and you're over here yelling at people for free and only making people more frustrated.
square has the ability to clear up any confusion in a matter of minutes and that's up to them. additionally, they hire moderators and GMs to handle any problem players/posters. you should not waste your own time and energy on doing their job for them for free.
The fact that potential clipping was prioritized over, idk, the ears of a playable race is unacceptable logic. I've said this before when it comes to long hair and hats for Viera/Hrothgar: just. let. it. clip. And that should be the end of the discussion, but no, instead here we are!

Fine. Arguing.
The fact that you've resorted to picking apart my posts with semantics really just brings my point home tho'
I'd be perfectly fine with; Viera ears clipping, and Hrothgar ears being hidden. The fact that potential clipping was prioritized over, idk, the ears of a playable race is unacceptable logic. For the most part, Viera ears would look fine clipping through most hats, it would look intentional. Hrothgar might look a bit weird, with just the tips of the ears poking through most hats, some of them asymmetrically, but like Miqote, it's plausible for them to be 'tucked' inside.
And how am I arguing? I asked people to take this to the already-popular Viera and Hrothgar complaint thread, where it would have been more suited as it's more likely to grab the attention of moderators. But you're the one who attacked me and then said people on the forum are going to turn their frustration on me? Makes no sense.
You're getting a tad defensive, so I'll leave you to it![]()
