If we had reason to think that it was thousands of matches, or if the matchmaking was going to require that pugs were going to queue against pre-mades, i would sympathize, that would be a very poor experience.

However those numbers sound like a very low barrier to getting mounts, I'd even consider raising it. Ten wins is nothing. It isn't meant to be achieved in just a day or so, did you think that it could actually serve as an incentive to improve in PVP as well/ that benefits everyone.

I think it wouldn't serve as an incentive to be third-ranked winner team 80% of the matches. I'm asking to change it to participation in frontlines and keep it the same in other modes.
But then again others are right. Doing frontlines for the event may be indeed a bad idea....

In all seriousness tho I think rewards for harder content is good, just giving it out to everyone in normal which is essentially just story-mode would be lame as hell.

Here is the best suggestion. Unless they say the event is a short time. If you are having a bad night stop. You can just as easily win 20 in a row as loose 20. If it is a bad night try some other night. Also if possible try not to que at the same time. Only so many people in PvP if you do lots of matches you will notice the same names. WHM can't heal 100k or tank/dps that die 10 times a game. While being awesome 1 million plus healer or 15 plus killing machine helps. If you are getting multiple bad players it is just going to be a frustrating night. And as you get better specially if you are a healer you can carry some scrubs. That depends on new changes though.

When I got the mounts last time I grinded front lines and Rival Wings until 10 wins which took awhile.

Did feast for the rest of them.

I recommend bouncing between the two (crystal conflict replacing feast) if you are doing a long session.

Also not sure if we will allowed to be que as 2 mans in CC. But if we can maybe finding someone who is also interested in trying to win. Same with frontlines. 4 people can't carry a game, but if you 4 play smart and make suggestions it could help. You don't have to be super spammy or anything. Most players don't mean too do bad stuff. Simple reminder, "Ice, Check Map, Too Far, Pinch, Score" And if you already have 4 people doing the right thing it is easier to get the rest to follow.

I grinded it out over the span of about a week when it first went live the first time around. What will help is that there will be a lot of players taking part, which will make things easier (and difficult) at times. Either way, players will get it done if they keep at it. Just...don't sit on it for too long. That's the only thing I would suggest not doing. Hop on the initial hype train and get it done. What will probably help too is the new PvP system, provided they allow us to make progress through that. If so, there will be even more players taking part.

3 out of 20 though a little low is not bad considering you’re usually working with a random group. The event was designed to be a long term grind. It lasted nearly 3 years. I did it in 2 months, and that is everything. And I’m the worst pvper there is. Well, other than afk-ers, I’m fine if they change it but I think whatever it is should require a similar time investment unless they significantly reduce the time available.

They should actually make all old expansion mounts available for wolfmarks. They rotate them on moogle event and you can pvp. Also wouldn't mind if all pvp was mgp. If someone would rather gate all day then pvp have at it.
