How come Square Enix are reluctant to purchase Mods? I've seen that idea thrown around a lot recently, personally I don't know much about modding. Do you think SE just don't want to look incapable by accepting work from the community?

I'm not debating the quality of the fix, just that we can't say with certainty that you'd still be expected to pay real money to switch to it, because I get the impression that maybe you won't any more. Particularly as they mentioned something previously about having to change how Hrothgar are set up to allow for adding the new (we now know to be generic) hairstyle selection.

they made zero mentions of fixing the existing hairstyles, which leads me to believe they didn't even touch it. They didn't detach the hairstyles we already had, so we'd still need to fantasia those.

or in a worst case scenario, they did "fix" it, by placing those hairstyles on the same "face" as the new hairstyles, but without ears.

Frankly im terrified of logging in on the 12th to find that they cut off my ears. If that happens i'm just done with Hrothgar in their entirety.

The female viera could get the miqo'te based hairstyles if anything- but what you said absolutely, I'd much rather have unique hairs that actually look made for the race than existing hairs if this is the result.

Imagine, making stuff. How dare you suggest being original! No, clearly we need the things everyone else has. But not the good stuff that would actually fit a race of leonine men; no, we need the Ultimate Mega Karen and Toothpaste Ad Reject! Masterpiece for the ages right there.

What's next? Making new glams? We have too many of that, and some glams aren't even worn by 1% of the playerbase. Just take whatever we put in Shisui but make it wider. New dungeons? Just refit Sastasha Seagrot into "Lalatasha Dwarfgrot", totally different. New jobs? Limited Jobs: Healers Edition. New areas for players to explore? Nah, just take the Sagolii Desert from South Thanalan and add some rocks... but make them a different shade of brown so players don't get the chance to say it's the same. New weapons for Ultimate? Easy! Take the relic and artifact weapons and make them shinier with cool effects, no one will notice! Wait...

I get it. A lot of you hrothgar players waited 3 years for... anything.. only to see this is what you got. It sucks, and you all deserved better.
