First no where in my post did i say im petitioning to have them kill the servers its only a suggestion and to say

"I don't respect anyone who considers petitioning for my hard earned achievements and lvls to be just simply erased. is a little silly because im not jelous its super easy to get all class to 50 except (DoL and DoH better with rested xp) and remember people its only a thought so many people are against it, it will never happen.

Why would you suggest such ppls lvls get wiped?

It doesn't matter if its "easy" to you. That's not your right to suggest the destruction of someone elses time investments because it's "your opinion".

I have no Real animosity to anyone here, but a line has to be drawn when the absurdity reaches into the realm of complete disrespect to others accomplishments.

There's No valid reason to even suggest such a thing or try to plant the idea in ppls minds.

I think there is valid concern by the OP. Hold on, Areeya, let me finish.

I am 12 levels from having all DoW jobs at 50, take this into account! Although it is unfair to wipe away the countless hours I've dumped into my character (and, mind you, I'm not especially keen on being PL'd, which is why I haven't already hit 50 on all jobs; I like to play the job and know familiarize myself with each action's strengths and weaknesses, timing, recast, effectiveness, etc), what I believe the OP is alluding to as a looming threat to the future success of this game, which, unfortunately, is multi-dimensional.

The first dimension I can think of, arguably the most important one, is retaining player loyalty. This rings especially true for this game, which has been a train-wreck in perpetual salvage-mode since its release.

The second dimension I can think of is, what I believe the OP to have considered, is the 'new' player. As a linkshell leader, this is something that I have had looming in my thoughts for quite some time. Most of my linkshell mates are well above 50% in all jobs, a handful quite near 100%. Leveling my last job, MRD, (currently @ 38) has proven to be quite the lonesome road; no one is L38 these days. If they are, they zoom past in a weekend's time with PL assistance. I've refrained from that, in hopes of experiencing the thrill of actually leveling the way the game is intended. My concern is that with so many players near 100%, there will be less incentive on new players to level appropriately, instead opting to be PL'd as fast as possible to 'run with the big boys.'

Again - I completely disagree of simply resetting everyone's job back to L1 is not a viable solution, however, the OP brings a valid concern in my book. I personally am very curious as to how SE can manage to pacify players like ourselves, Areeya, who've spent the blood and tears into getting to where we're at, while still creating a social dynamic that allows new players to interact with veteran players. I feel if this isn't address correctly, it could very well spell demise for the game.

You dont get it to cast it on others, you use it to save your own skin.

When you set black mage, you're focusing on black magic. That's why you don't get to set cure. The secondary classes required to unlock the job and the only classes you can thus set actions from seem to be primarily based on relevant stats- Pugilist is on there because they have a use for intelligence, for instance.

Both of those classes have some useful survival tools that can help a black mage when he pulls hate.

People don't seem to understand that the whole point of the job system is that you gain more power in a way that's specific to your job and class, but you lose some of the cross-classing flexibility.

If you absolutely must have Cure when you're on THM, then you ismply do not set black mage and play THM as you always have. You trade greater power for greater flexibility.

really so the fact that you before patch 1.18 i believe you could have a crafting job in your party and leach xp does no one remember seeing that. i just thought it was silly you can take a carpenter in a party and gain xp from lvling in a party.

you could gain exp for phsyical level yes

If I remember correctly, cuz I did it for a friend, you would gain physical level experience, not points towards your job which does not even apply anymore. Other than that, I too am curious as to this PL you speak of.

I personally HATE how often people cling to the holy trinity/quartet in mmos. Sure it works, but it gets old. Le olde. Some games have done it well, but I would never want this to go that route.

taking away level from current player is ridicolous, I agree with that. Also Areeya post didnt like insult for me, just an heavy disagreement. I dont get any insult tone in that.
