I mean, so are we just supposed to be silent when they’re butchering the healers because some people think it’s “working?” Or be silent when they continue lowering skill ceilings of jobs, lowering engagement and fun in jobs, giving us less things, and then telling people “oh if you want your job to be engaging, go play Ultimate, a piece of content that only gets something new once an expansion if you’re lucky.” Great developer work, 10/10. It’s working guys.

No, but some of this feedback is so generic as to be poison. It's like people are wanting the WoW-style remaking of the game and fucking up of every class every expansion, which is downright bananas to me. There are people advocating for removing Yoshi-P when he's led the development of one of the most popular and enjoyable MMOs on the market. There are people complaining about the consistency, which is something most games could only dream of.

Specific criticisms are good. Generic hand-wavy make-it-different shit is just that. shit.

Ya, all the WoW players advocating for this game to play like the game they just left because its been murdering itself for the last several expansions is just comical to me. Like I said earlier though, its pretty obvious OP is a troll and its a shame this thread has gone on for 25 pages lol. Anyone who advocates that Yoshi-P and the devs should be replaced or complains about content releases in a game that has a consistent release schedule of content every few months is either a troll or is hyper focused on a single piece of content. In no way can anyone legitimately complain about the content this game releases when most other MMO's go nearly an entire year without any major content updates.

In the end that’s your opinion. But i can understand why some people might be saying to get some fresh people in and get some of the old ones out. Healers have gotten worse under yoshi p’s “guidance” and his recent statement basically told them to f off. Again, jobs have only gotten worse and worse under yoshi p’s guidance as well. Housing being the shit system the way it is, is literally because of Yoshi P, he wanted instanced housing and in the end doesn’t want to even discuss the notion of changing it.

There’s things like this that add up that will frustrate people and make them wonder how things might change should someone else be in charge. Yoshi has obviously carried the game a long way, but now it seems like he’s starting to lose focus and seems tired of it all. The latest story just seems like they were tired of this entire arc and wanted to rush and finish it all quickly. With 16, i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s putting more focus on that then anything else. It would be nice if there was a way for us to “test run” someone new and see what things they would change or fix and see if it’s any better than the game being under yoshi’s guidance.

TLDR i guess: People are frustrated at the way yoshi has handled many things, so i understand why they may want to call for replacing him or what have you.

I think many people have been specific on what their criticisms are in this thread so far. If you are expecting our criticism to be a list of changes that need to take place to fix healers, well that is not our job as the consumer. Our job is to raise the concern and it is SE's job to correct it.

I don't think OP was a troll as it is a legitimate question. If Yoshi P were to be replaced now would be the ideal time for something like this to take place since it is the end of the plot from 1.0 - 6.0 and he is also leading FFXVI. As far as the content goes, it has lessened over time and feels lazier than before. It is cool the FFXIV has a consistent release schedule of content every few months, I think it what some players want though is a little diversity in the content being released. A good example is the fact that every relic grind since 2.x has been essentially a fate grind. 4.x and 5.x atleast broke the mold some by adding a unique dungeon to do as part of that but it has essentially been the same thing. Dungeons since HW have been 3 trash packs and a boss repeated 3 times. Since SB if you showed me a random Trial and a Random Raid battle, I would not be able to tell you which was which and that is a problem. Not sure why you believe it is just WoW players advocating this game to play differently? I guess that is your defense for putting complaints down. I played this game since ARR, and I have seen change after change that has made this game less appealing in my opinion.

Thats all subjective though. As i see it, we're getting less content, jobs are the worst theyve ever been before, and the evs are ignoring concerns that have been around for 6+ years. If they arent going to address it properly after 6+ years, i dont see this batch addressing it at all.

Thats HW... Look at SB lol. Notice how that doesnt list the dungeon amount? Dungeons got cut in ShB,Deep dungeon got cut, hildibrand got cut, allied beast tribe quests got cut. Even now in EW we didnt even get a dungeon gear set for the 89 dungeon lmao. All but 1 or 2 crafter and gatherer gearsets are reused, and theyre still reusing gear from past expansions without even role swapping it or making it dyable.

Them lowering the skill ceiling and butchering healers isnt subjective at all. Theres literal evidence to support it lol.

We do get less content.. while the total content in game goes up and up with every patch..
the content we get with each patch goes down and down...
and the number of patches we get in a year has also gone down.

What was the 10th type of content? Also that is kind of sad that there was only 1 new content type, 20 additional quests, and a whole 6 more bosses after 3 expansions.
I assume the new content type was the 40man? And the 6 bosses, were the bosses in the 40man that could be done with 5 players.
There was 1 additional cutscene and we got 2 hours of additional cutscene length. I guess I understand why EW felt like a movie now 20 more quests and 2 more hours of cutscenes.
Seeing how the UI is still pretty terrible that tasks for the UI team should be doubled. Maybe they should put tasks completed cause it doesn't feel like they have complete 219 changes to the UI.
Don't care about how many races need to equip with gear. Dont care about the items.
I do like more scenes are voiced.
