Are they making fc only wards? If they didn’t specify that anywhere then I’m assuming private housing buyers will only be allowed to buy smalls. I remember reading that if players in a fc have buying power they can bid for one house each, meaning 20 people in a fc with privileges can bid on 20 places, they would lose their money if they won more than one place though.

I wish they would add one ward in each housing area that was instanced. I know people complained they wanted their neighborhoods but if one ward was instanced then at least people would get something.

I'm not one who is looking to get a house (apartment is sufficient to me). But if I am, with everything on lottery system I would just give up from even trying knowing I have never won lucky draws, raffles, or anything similar in my life. lol

Hmm.. this should be interesting lol. I really hope apartments get updated in the future and allow us to have different sized apartments and at least access to gardening. I will still try to get a medium cause why not at this point. But I really am hoping apartments receive some major updates in the future to help with this.

I have no doubts that the people who have championed this system will be happy with it. Its gonna be down the road a couple of months when all the houses are taken and those people who fought for a lottery system are still without a house because of RNG will people start to show there discontent.

I'll say that the lotto system is just a little bit fairer and a whole lot healthier than the FCFS only system that we had before but there's one glaring system that could solve the whole housing problem and its on Papa Squenix to pony up the money to make that happen.

Don't worry. The Island Sanctuaries will fix it.
It's a good sign that there's been literally zero said about the sanctuaries since their announcement.
So they're SURELY the full-featured, infinite instanced housing that everybody wants.

Yoshi-P himself specifically stated that they will not. If we're lucky we'll be able to do outdoor gardening. If it goes they way I expect it to it'll be a third gardening system to be abandoned in a patch or two.

The system we had, and currently have, were/are also terrible. But this just takes things to a whole new level of bad. Many people, including myself, tried to sound the alarm on this when others were asking for a lottery system. They did not listen. So...here we are. I hate to say (not really) I told you guys so but...I told you so.

Pretty sure it's because you get only one shot to get a house every nine days.

While we're on the topic of botting, I feel like this system only is going to encourage more people to make alts with the sole purpose of flooding lottery plots to ensure their FC gets it. That way it can be sold off (if they're in the black market side of things) or weighed heavily in favor of said FC (specifically referring to those FCs that have hundreds of members) and the cycle ever continues.

I see nothing here that's going to actually fix a problem outside of hand/wrist issues from camping.
