Regardless of your opinion on the developers balance of jobs, they have already said that they have plans for major balance changes for 6.1 and this falls in line with what they have been doing the last two expansions where they make significant adjustments to jobs in the X.1 patch.
I mean, like it or not, MCH will never be a top damage job. That simply goes against their philosophy of physical ranged having a tax for the ability to essentially have 100% uptime. We're going to see adjustments to MCH and they will be better, but anyone expecting any of physical ranged to have high adps is just fooling themselves. Only way that will ever change is if they add cast times and people hated the "bow mage" when they tried it.

don't count on any significant changes it will only set u up for disappointment
Both 4.1 and 5.1 had pretty significant adjustments to jobs and they have already said on their streams they have major adjustments planned for 6.1.
Check the feedback, it's from 5.0 elements except for Chainsaw.
We've been waiting 6.0 to fix Flamethrower, Wildfire and to add interaction with the Automaton Queen.
Also Hypercharge on stack is a popular feedback as well as MCH damage.
Excuse us if we feel impatient after 3 years of no change and a disappointing 6.0.
