Right now, neither the gameplay nor the damage feels right on this job.

I would like to touch on the gameplay part first:
Like many have mentioned before me,
- Machinist basically has 3 versions of Drill.
- The climax on Wildfire looks boring and the damage is so low for the amount of build-up needed for it.
- I like how Wildfire feels but I think Reaper has got a better version of it.
- Flamethrower feels just awful, it does not even do the dmg needed to be just standing still for ages
- Why does Auto-crossbow still not reduce your OGCD cooldown like heat blast?

I would argue that this job is far from being complete (like Samurai, Black mage or reaper feel)

Now the tricky bit, the damage.
Oh boy does it lack in Damage, it has no Utility (Tactician not counted) and no damage to make up for it.

-why not give chain saw a cast timer like samurais midare or reapers communio?
- if Machinist is the Phy. range equivalent selfish DPS of Samurai and Black mage, in my opinion, it should be third in ADPS, SAM being first, BLM being second.
to justify having zero utility ( you would still have your "range tax" as it would still deal less than the other 2 selfish DPS. (But I guess i might be the only one feeling that way)

I had high hopes for Endwalkers version of machinist, but tbh it feels worse than what we had in Shadowbringer.

This class is currently in nirvana being selfish but having neither damage nor utility and on top still feels weird gameplay wise.

I do not have my hopes up for any changes but I would wish there to be some major ones
