Endwalker vs shadowbringers story, which did you enjoy more and why? (spoilers)

I love both but I feel like Shadowbringers took much longer to truly get rolling and had less high points, I also think that the gameplay and overall presentation was a big step up in Endwalker and it took some pretty big risks that imo at least paid off.

Endwalker had some missed opportunities that were a bit frustrating tho like Zenos not killing anyone while possessing your body.
But overall I think it's a better experience as a whole with a lot of high points and where things happen all the time, in Shadowbringers it feels like there's more filler that ultimately doesn't matter or add anything, Ran'jit was also just kind of a meme and I didn't like how op he was as just some rando henchmen that shows up and beats up everyone.
He gave me big Kai Leng vibes from Mass Effect.
Zenos at least was presented as the main villain in Stormblood and he's also the grandson of Emet it wouldn't surprise me if that's part as to why he's so powerful too.
But I also think Zenos works as a reflection of the player and he was our main personal nemesis.

Ran'jit was the nemesis of Thancred, yet he just shows up and overpowers us with ease?
It felt very strange to me.
Not to mention Thancred should've killed him not us.

I figured it was probably Zenos, but it was more than him who was a problem for me and I wasn't given the ability to express it.

I appreciated you were at least able to just tell Zenos to shove it instead of being forced to accept his perspective.

bold of you to assume I was talking about zenos, who was one of the few things EW did right for me.
I meant certain other characters and the pic was, in my opinion, a fitting facial response to my post actually being able to be applied to more than one character

Isnt zenos his great grandson and varis is his grandson? So shouldnt varis be equally as strong if not more due to his years.

Yep, great-grandson. They mentioned in the LL that the powers skipped a generation. I did wonder if Varis had any traits from his grandfather besides his huge size but I guess he was an outlier. I am very curious about his father though, that short story makes me want to know so much more about him. We know he was enormous but did he have abilities?

Had Zenos permanently killed anybody in my body, that would have been a red line crossed which would have caused me to very likely quit the game.

There are some lines that must not be crossed and that is one of them.

SHB had a much stronger emotional peak near the end, while EW was more spread out.

Otherwise the middle part of SHB were a lot weaker than EW, especially with the strangely overpowered minor villain, while EW suffered a bit like SB did with too much going on over a too short time-frame.

There are some lines that must not be crossed and that is one of them.

Tataru surviving EW ruined it for me. And now she is getting how own quest line again. The last quest line she had was the moment I hated more than anything they have done in this game. And it is happening again. EW is terrible.

On a basic level, cold blooded murder is something that should not be attached to our character / avatar. Implied murder is one thing like the princess in ARR but actual murder is another.

Even if we did not do it, we would know that our face was the last thing the victim saw and many others would have seen the act. The NPCs in the story would behave differently from then on and I would never look at my character the same way again, hence the quit as the fantasy would be ruined.

We have done some bad things, I won’t disagree on that but murdering our friends is way too far.
