Grats Meowie!
Grats Meowie!
Great to hear after all our bump, hope they get somethign put in game ASAP.
I imagine it will be the same system as FFXI Quest end rings. Obtainable after a certain period of time week or so.
Hopefully this will fix the selling items that came with the game because maybe i can finally get my onion helmet back.I'm sorry it's taken so long for us to get a response for you on this topic and I agree it is extremely frustrating to accidentally NPC/drop something you didn't intend to. We were able to discuss the issue with Yoshida and he said that they will be looking into a method to easily reacquire achievement/quest reward items from NPCs and the like (this is also in addition to the previously discussed "buy back" feature).
Also we asked the UI team about making it more difficult to accidentally sell/drop Unique/Untradeable items (maybe with specific confirmation windows or other methods) and they said that they're currently looking into that as well.

As announced on the official FINAL FANTASY XIV Forums, we have identified an issue wherein materia attached to a player’s equipment may get lost when the server goes down for maintenance work. If you notice that your materia is missing after the conclusion of this maintenance, please place a GM call. A GM will conduct an investigation and provide maximum support to restore your materia. You can avoid running into this issue by equipping the item which the materia is attached to or storing it on a retainer before the maintenance starts.
Quote from the maintenance message, it seem to me that.. they can actually restore item after all... but only gonna do it if it is by their own mistake.

Nope, I do this to show that their excuse saying "they don't have ability to return lost item is just a lie". They could do it, and it is common sense that many people believe the same in this thread, but then support team/dev denied and said that they are inability to do so a few pages back.
edit:
I just notice tags in this thread.. and I lol.

Is there any updates on when this will be implemented?I'm sorry it's taken so long for us to get a response for you on this topic and I agree it is extremely frustrating to accidentally NPC/drop something you didn't intend to. I accidentally dropped my Bard AF body last night while repairing my gear... Good Bye Ballad enhancement... hello gimp bard![]()
No big loss... Most of the AF job gear is garbage stat-wise. You can get it back in two years when they add the function ;D
"Enhances Ballad" is better than PIE for BRD I think. Sorry for your loss, Gryswynd. That really sucks ; ;
I was half expecting them to implement it in this patch, but in the back of my mind I knew I was being overly optimistic.
