Depends how precise sundering is. I can cut a sandwich in half with reasonable accuracy, but the more chunks I cut that sandwich into, the harder it gets.

Honestly, I wonder how much some of the issues around some of Endwalker story are down to Yoshida. IIRC he personally tinkered with the story more this time around, and while he's a great Producer and Director, he doesn't really seem like that much of a Writer.
Leaving things up for interpretation is fine, but a lot of the Q&A came across more like he just hadn't thought stuff through, and some of it was pretty big stuff too.
