I think you can get a pretty good idea of what people want when you look across the platforms, with considerations like reddit or twitter are likely to create hives (that may or /may not/ enhance their representation), and the forums is to have less hives but a lot more chaos lol. But certainly feedback tools that would need grains of salt. Yet I do believe FFXIV does listen to feedback and care (my imo).

I don’t think dismissing them outright is the way to go.
Definitely, I think it's important to discuss feelings- I think even Yoshida at one point has said they want to know more than just "it sucks" or whatever. Like -why- don't you like it, what do you think you would like? Doesn't mean they're going to do the latter, but if all you say is something is unfun. It's a bit like .."thanks...". Love feedback like that on my own stuff. Generally I'm more interested in the people who come up with ideas and feelings than the dismissive types (particularly the ones without effort in them), even when I don't particularly like the ideas or feelings. Of course should also probably say what you do like, besides being uplifting that too can be a helpful form of sense of direction.

On that note though... everyone is allowed to have their own unique interesting and valid ideas and opinions.. unless.. they disagree with mine and then which case that's just not okay!
