(after edit) I think it's kind of telling you would come on here and say I'm a multi house owner to try and discredit a legitimate stance on a subject no one has done anything other than suggest TAKE SOMEONE'S HOUSES away, while I own no houses. People are advocating for more houses. Or better: instanced housing, which would solve all of the issues we have if SE would just let go of this stupid neighborhood dream of theirs. Maybe not in this specific thread, but there have been numerous such advocates over the years all across various social media and forums.

People can also be rightly annoyed at selfish players gobbling up what they know is a limited and difficult-to-obtain resource that everyone wants. No one is saying take their houses away cold turkey - reimburse them all of the prices, the furnishings, whatever. But anyone saying it's okay for someone to own 23+ of a finite resource is just as selfish as the people hoarding houses, tbh.

No, the people here are advocating for taking things away, either with reimbursement or not, and also some suggesting multi-house owners should be banned (I'm gonna do the dumb thing and step out on this limb and assume they mean they ALSO don't get reimbursed for their houses/time/work). There are threads where some people do advocate (intelligently so) for more housing and or instanced housing as I also suggested as options in the very first response to this ridiculous thread. And I have been told my opinion is one no one agrees with. I'm also going to do the silly thing here and step out on the limb and say it's because i haven't been going out of my way to be polite to people who are threatening/suggesting/advocating to take someone's things away for any reason. I'll be real, I think that is disgusting and these people should be BANNED. If this is upsetting or causes you grief, cool. If not, also cool. But let's be real, where is it "cool" to say hey take someone's things away and the people advocating for it are already knowing the real issue is supply. I've already said it's supply, repeatedly.

The edit was to add in the response to the person below me, then to ALSO explain further that I don't own any houses. Search for my previous responses in this very thread. I mention there I own no houses.

I have said I own no houses in this very thread. I have repeatedly stated the issue is supply, and that I will stand up against EVERY SINGLE person advocating to take away housing. It seems MORE likely, you have NO intelligent recourse than OH HERP they must own a lot of houses so of course they will stand up and have defenses against our meaningless childish cries to take it away.

I HAVE owned multiple houses in the past, quit the game, and returned to it and just never bothered to get another house. I returned specifically for island sanctuaries, and the lottery system. I have multiple alts, each one owns an apt, i deco them. I enjoy that. I have NEVER once asked for anyone to take away a house so I can have a shot at getting one. That suggestion is horrible, and I think it bothers people when they sit back and rethink what they've asked for, or have a grown thinking adult tell them how stupid of an idea that is. Kind of like stupid trying to make sense with people who don't want to have sense in their life.

I mean yes, when you come into a thread and act the way you do - and bring governments into it??? - most people are:

A) Not going to take you seriously
and B )Think you're... well, raving - either for the sake of raving, or because you're one of those people who think it's perfectly okay to eat up a finite resource all for the sake of greed or ego.

Frankly, if people are reimbursed their money and furnishings - in full - I do not see the issue. Grandfathering was a mistake to begin with, but the problem doesn't just extend to those who were grandfathered in before the limitations on home owning were imposed. People still get around it via alts and purchasing FC houses, bot scripts for placards, you name it. And that is not okay; taking away more than the limits imposed on you by the game, of a finite resource, is the definition of selfish.

Yes, ultimately it is the fault of SE for creating housing this way. Most other MMOs have done various ways of instanced housing, including ways to provide both exterior and interior design. They chose to build it in this faulty way, and they choose to continue to cling to that faulty design despite most of the playerbase begging them for instanced housing instead.

But that doesn't excuse selfish players gobbling up a hard-to-obtain and severely limited resource. Just because the ultimate issue lies with SE's design of our housing system, doesn't negate the fact these people are actively choosing to make the problem worse.

But judging by your responses to most people in this thread, I don't really feel like you understand that concept nor really want to hear logic to begin with. Feels like you've got a chip on your shoulder beyond just this one game's housing issues, and that's something you need to work out on your own, away from MMOs.
