We get it, you own multiple houses and your feelings are hurt that people dislike you for it. Go touch grass.I believe people advocating to take houses away should be banned.
If you're going to advocate for that, advocate for more houses, or instanced housing. What you are asking for is for someone who played the game by the rules, to be banned, some time later after assurance they will be able to retain their houses. (if grandfathered).
No I don't own multiple houses, I own no houses. I've said this. Find some other whitty thing to say other than touch grass. btw, go brush your teeth.
(after edit) I think it's kind of telling you would come on here and say I'm a multi house owner to try and discredit a legitimate stance on a subject no one has done anything other than suggest TAKE SOMEONE'S HOUSES away, while I own no houses. It again highlights the type of person (people) you are. Learn how to have formed opinions, and learn how to stand beside that opinion. Good advice.
No, the people here are advocating for taking things away, either with reimbursement or not, and also some suggesting multi-house owners should be banned (I'm gonna do the dumb thing and step out on this limb and assume they mean they ALSO don't get reimbursed for their houses/time/work). There are threads where some people do advocate (intelligently so) for more housing and or instanced housing as I also suggested as options in the very first response to this ridiculous thread. And I have been told my opinion is one no one agrees with. I'm also going to do the silly thing here and step out on the limb and say it's because i haven't been going out of my way to be polite to people who are threatening/suggesting/advocating to take someone's things away for any reason. I'll be real, I think that is disgusting and these people should be BANNED. If this is upsetting or causes you grief, cool. If not, also cool. But let's be real, where is it "cool" to say hey take someone's things away and the people advocating for it are already knowing the real issue is supply. I've already said it's supply, repeatedly.People are advocating for more houses. Or better: instanced housing, which would solve all of the issues we have if SE would just let go of this stupid neighborhood dream of theirs. Maybe not in this specific thread, but there have been numerous such advocates over the years all across various social media and forums.
People can also be rightly annoyed at selfish players gobbling up what they know is a limited and difficult-to-obtain resource that everyone wants. No one is saying take their houses away cold turkey - reimburse them all of the prices, the furnishings, whatever. But anyone saying it's okay for someone to own 23+ of a finite resource is just as selfish as the people hoarding houses, tbh.
That is the issue.
Not me. Not you. Square ENIX is the issue, along with it's inability to address the lack of supply. If you want to advocate for something, email them. report me, or whatever it is you people do to feel like you've accomplished something. Yes, I'm not nice. ALSO YES it's not nice to Advocate for taking something away from someone who received assurance they would not have their things taken away. Years ago.

The edit was to add in the response to the person below me, then to ALSO explain further that I don't own any houses. Search for my previous responses in this very thread. I mention there I own no houses.
Here is an edit.
I have said I own no houses in this very thread. I have repeatedly stated the issue is supply, and that I will stand up against EVERY SINGLE person advocating to take away housing. It seems MORE likely, you have NO intelligent recourse than OH HERP they must own a lot of houses so of course they will stand up and have defenses against our meaningless childish cries to take it away.
I HAVE owned multiple houses in the past, quit the game, and returned to it and just never bothered to get another house. I returned specifically for island sanctuaries, and the lottery system. I have multiple alts, each one owns an apt, i deco them. I enjoy that. I have NEVER once asked for anyone to take away a house so I can have a shot at getting one. That suggestion is horrible, and I think it bothers people when they sit back and rethink what they've asked for, or have a grown thinking adult tell them how stupid of an idea that is. Kind of like stupid trying to make sense with people who don't want to have sense in their life.

Dude, you are honestly sounding like a person who is part of a group on discord who is trying to get people's stuff taken away from them.
When you own an entire god dam ward, then you deserve to lose your houses.
No, I'm highlighting how ridiculous your accusation is. Hope the discord group is good.
You people asking for things to be taken away are the scum of the internet. And I hope you figure that out.
One thing with removing extras and compensation is how would SE judge what sufficient compensation is? There is the cost of the house. But what about decorations in it? Some of those may have been much more expensive in the past than they currently are. And what about labor time working on decorating? That's something SE can't give players back. For better or worse, SE decided to go with the grandfather step. Those they grandfathered in broke no rules before and SE has plugged the hole now. If they're getting around that restriction, by all means report. But if they're not breaking any of SE's current rules, where have they warranted a ban?
Does their decision suck for people now? Yes. But get mad at those responsible. And I'm going to agree with one point of Sauteed, that the focus should be on making housing not some limited commodity that has a set maximum, no matter if they keep increasing it or not, and instead become a system where everyone has access to it. Then this decision SE made will stop affecting other players.
