Giving constructive criticism? On this forum? What a miracle that would be.This is a horrible way to act to criticism. The whole point of the forums is to give criticism. Trying to gatekeep and deny that is this community’s biggest flaw. You don’t have to agree with peoples takes but please for the love of god stop hiding behind the “just unsub, don’t play the game.” A lot of people critique the game because they want to see it improved. With how much money the game makes, we’re allowed to share our opinions.
So let me ask you this, what would an ideal patch cycle look like to you, what are you looking for in an endgame that isn't being delivered? Please be as specific as possible. What are players who aren't going to do Ultimate do for four months in 6.1?
1. Do the alliance raid, which probably takes 1-2 hours to complete on day 1.
2. Do the Tataru and Hildebrand quests which take 2 hours judging by previous instances.
3. Do the new extreme trial which takes like 2-4 hours to clear.
4. Waste 5 mins every day on beast tribes, and waste 3 mins every week on custom delivery.
Congratulations that's all you have for 4 months. $60 in subscription fees. That's even less than what you get from the typical AAA single player title.
With this little content they should be accelerating patch delivery, not slowing it down.
Many would agree with you ifThis is a horrible way to act to criticism. The whole point of the forums is to give criticism. Trying to gatekeep and deny that is this community’s biggest flaw. 1 It was valid criticism displayed as a ration clear post about a players thoughts , positive and negative
2 OP wasn't posting subject matters that strike a nerve , almost on a daily basis , that dont criticise but complain or act in a manner like everyone else is wrong by being pro/against a hot topic/game news of the month
3 OP in recent threads has exposed that they and other well know problematic accounts are part of a group and stated in a reply that they have given up doing it to the scale they used to, on other well known accounts as they were running out of fresh ideas to aggravate these forum users with
People are allowed to give their opinions but that also should go with reasonable expectations. If someone only partakes of specific content in the game, their content is going to dry up. No developer is ever going to be able to keep up with the pace some players consume content at. If someone is unhappy with that situation, the most effective way to speak is with our wallets. This is a horrible way to act to criticism. The whole point of the forums is to give criticism. Until the housing situation is fixed, unsubbing like the devs have suggested will not cut it.
im baby
If it upsets Skiros I consider it an absolute win.![]()
... because they are human individuals who do not have 30+ hours in a day to keep up with content release schedules and ensuring that everything is stable, and that shows? An extra two weeks harms no one - in fact, it allows for someone to unsub for 3 months at a time and still be 100% up to date on content patches, rather than 2 weeks behind and have to put up with potential spoilers. It follows their design philosophy.
(This answer is not for Skiros, but for those who genuinely think this way and forget that humans are not robots)
I mean, is it really bait when it's correct?
Oh absolutely, but they're not going to change. That's why we've been grinding tomestones for 8 years.I think that is an excuse the devs like to use in place of "we are lazy and we are just going to follow this simple patch cycle repeatedly."
Though it's more square doesn't give them the budget and time they deserve and the xiv team is a small indie company :tm: more then them being lazy. I do truly believe they care, but they're always understaffed and barely meeting deadlines somehow.
The scope of what the developers are working on is significantly larger than it was when they started ARR and the 3.5-month schedule. While they can add many more developers at the top, final Q&A still depends on a very few individuals who have limited availability. An extra two weeks reduces stress on the team and stress is one of Yoshi-P's biggest concerns about the team now as it is causing retention issues. I'd rather wait two additional weeks than lose features because a developer quit due to overwork.
