We also haven't been through Heavensward for even longer, but Ishgard got a restoration anyway. There's plenty you can work with in making an overhaul/restoration that the devs have touched on but never exactly delved into outside of surface level acknowledgements.I understand you feels, I love Ala Mhigo but honestly I feel it would be too much on the fly, like we just got garlemald as map, it's history and it still something that is fresh on our minds while ala mhigo....was 2 expacs before, roughly 5 years and in the mean time we had Doman restoration, our whole adveture on the First, ishgard restoration which had a storyline based on, garlean war and finally the whole planet exodus thing. there just a whole lot going on if they just did anything ala mhigan related I would rather have an entire patch dedicated about it but sadly, I think the 6.1 patch will be focused on Garlemald at least the part where it doesnt focus on the whole Twelve alliance thing.
But that happened because the player base asked for it. that's clearly not as much as we have.
True! I wish the community and devs cared more about Ala Mhigo. It's got great potential honestly, especially with the crumbs of commentary we got from the EW Healer Quests. It's a damn shame the Mhigan Quarter is so lackluster and rushed. I just want them to give it justice, like they wanted to originally.
I just like these contents... :3
So I hope to hear about something like it. Though I wonder if Island Sanctuary is taking that content concept and running with it (we obviously need to hear more but it could be, who knows for sure... yet).
A wish for the next one though, if it has a community component (which is totally fine and can be cool), might be the community can work together to push the current maximum progress, yet the player themselves will push the content's current status (such that you can experience the content as a group when it's active, or just later at your leisure).
Honestly I think I would be more excited for Garlean type IFFFF it can look like a non-destructed variant of the destroyed city we've seen, it would be quite pretty and unique. I would however probably be excited with just about anything lol. I also feel you might get different potential variants by considering different presentation of beast tribe mechanics (like the fae beast tribe had a whole zone, rather perhaps combine the resources of two tribes and create an even more complex and involved restoration).
Anything of the sort excites me, but I'll also toss out Mognet and Chocobo Paradise as construction spaces too.
Am I a jerk if I admit that I don't really wanna go back to the first and fix their world up?
Garlemald should be next, IMHO.
I have no issue with going back to the First to help out with restoration, but some people have taken that a bit too far and suggested converting Amaurot to housing. It is a MASS GRAVE for crying out loud. It is beyond tasteless to suggest building houses over the graves of others.
I mean for all we know the houses in all of the other zones could be built on burial grounds lmao.I have no issue with going back to the First to help out with restoration, but some people have taken that a bit too far and suggested converting Amaurot to housing. It is a MASS GRAVE for crying out loud. It is beyond tasteless to suggest building houses over the graves of others.
Sadly, this truth is right on the mark.
I'll say it, i have a completely biased view of Ala Mhigo mainly because it's a people & culture i can relate to. Even if they are not based in Latino culture/ mythos, They are the closest people that look like me i have seen in good while in an mmo's lore or games in general. (Ronka more so, but we'll see if anything ever comes from them, though i'm not holding my breath)
I genuinely got excited when i saw the Ziggurat, the continued plight or the refugees, themes of sacrifice, the wall...
Guess i'll have to wait to see how the treat the "New World" if we ever get there, based off the limited job aspect they did to to Blue Mage, my hopes are not high.
"Nemo me impune lacessit."
M'naago's Custom Delivery is like an Ala Mhigo restoration. Lore wise, the saltery reopening is probably enough to give them the cash flow they need that they don't need any further help.
