Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.

The good thing is, they can't do this in P4S. It'd put them too far behind because of Role Mechanics. But up to P2S and potentially P3S? I feel like WAR's a bit broke when it comes to things like this, even when in BiS gear when we're pushing the envelope on what can and can't be done.
This is still the most disgusting clear I've seen by far because of the fact that WAR has self-healing that can prop itself up for a long, long time provided people all adhere to mechanics.
P3s will be effectively impossible without insane luck. Even with a full group of 99% damage WARs with full BIS, they barely beat the enrage. P3s's is even tighter, on top of having role based mechanics that will force downtime (Stack gloryplume requiring a huge spread out since its RNG in an 8 tank comp and & an overlap = dead) and mechanics like blackfire that will wipe their runs 90% of the time due to them being free-fire due to no dps in the party, on top of having to pull out even more damage than in P2s.The good thing is, they can't do this in P4S. I mean, it kinda makes sense. Self-healing is really all WAR has. Its actual mitigation is meh, and its damage is outright bad. It worked well enough for P1S and P2S, but as the previous poster said; P3S is going to be the hard limit unless a team gets extremely lucky. Healing oneself can only take you so far when it's all you can do.

WAR's not broke but rather this shows how the first two floors are meant to be the "easy" floors to get people into savage. Ucob has been done with all tanks and that syncs you down so clearly teamwork and coordination does get you farther than actual gear. WAR has always had insane healing since back in ARR and the only difference is that its front-loaded rather than spread out.The good thing is, they can't do this in P4S. If the new ultimate is done with all tanks then maybe we need to rethink how strong WAR really is but atm, it just shows how well WAR is designed compared to other tanks. Keep in mind that WAR is on the bottom of the tank in terms of tank dps so clearly, all this proves is how garbage DRK is when its made to stand on its own merits and not propped up by other players and raid buffs. Tank dps means nothing if your defensive cds can't keep you alive.
Not true. WAR only RECENTLY has been able to heal at this level to the point they can solo a dungeon by themselves and bring nobody else in if you know how to optimize your cooldowns. ARR and HW they didn't have this level of healing since they heavily relied on role skills to even do so; it still didn't outweigh the damage intake they were receiving from normal fights compared to Bloodwhetting right now.
Not even in Stormblood or Shadowbringers were they capable of sustaining themselves to this point. They always were reliant on healers and the party to actually heal themselves. If you look back to as far back as Heavensward, DRK had that same thing going for it when Abyssal Drain was an actual GCD and you took a giant mob pack; you were just limited by your MP at that. Then they stripped it of that self-sustain when they redid everything in Shadowbringers and set the slate clean across all tanks; and they felt rather nice to be close to each other in terms of efficiency(even when people weren't liking DRK's new design). Right now, WAR leverages all the burden off of healers and instead is able to unga bunga their way to full HP via their GCDs that grant 100% of damage done as HP. That's a lot with current HP values.
If anything, no tank should be able to solo content or even group with 7 other WARs to beat half a Savage Tier. What are healers anymore?
