probably unpopular opinion here but wouldn't it be fairer for the people who built up the firmament and got their titles/went under the top 100 to have the first come first serve option?

i mean, hundreds of people were working for hours (and i mean 8h+ for some) but now everyone and their mother can buy a house via lottery, seems very unfair to me bc there are the players who did nothing and only came to grab the fêtes.
on my server these fête only players even shouted about how they'll buy a house and made fun of the hard workers...

We have literally built nothing. SE could have just as easily plopped the new district down all of a sudden and said that restoration has occured while we were doing other things. Tying ability to buy Empyreum plots to Restoration participation is an awful idea. And I say that as Saint of the Firmament.

yes they could have done that but they didn't and still we were hoarding items for hours instead of doing other things. i just think it's unfair to not have a higher chance or even 100% chance of getting a house there. i'd give my own house and fc house in a heartbeat to finally (after 6 years) have an fc house in empyreum...

You did all of it of your own volition. You could have just not participated and it would have changed nothing. We all knew from the start Restoration would have never "failed". I don't see why someone should receive an extra reward for actions that had zero influence on that reward even being possible.
