This will enable them to draw more from their intended consumer base by removing the major roadblock to their enjoyment of the game.

Given how strained the team has been since, forever basically, I have no problem with them taking some weeks off for a vacation. Advanced dungeon content will come in the form of Criterion dungeons, though I have no idea what it will entail. Right now we just had a major expansion drop and the main features of each patch have been revealed until 7.0. There will be enough content for all, though it will not cater exclusively to any given group.

As for the subject of FF16:
Smooth extended preproduction stage allowed them to make a lot of progress once production actually began
Script and story was solidified without any major complications
Voice acting in British English already has been completed
Impact of Covid-19 -> many graphical improvements they wanted to make in wake of player feedback was delayed significantly, along with a lack of graphic resources (3d models for characters, enemies, etc) that were not finished on time caused a 6-month delay in the intended schedule.
Battle refinement is still ongoing
They will not show the game until it is essentially ready for pre-orders, they almost certainly want to mimic the lead-up to how FFXIV announces its expansions
i get all this its just dont cut it. why make an mmo in to a solo game for people that hate mmo's? we dont need more bot like people that we got now in the game. doing solo DF is really fun killing when most people don't care to even say a welcome. try to let people get in to the MMO part. and the fact the the game as an mmo getting more and more players show that people do not fear that scary mmo.
Given how strained the team has been since (the last time the take a big brake). i get it and in the same time dont care as it not my problem . just get more people to the team. you get the cash. this way people can take brakes more often. we know that some of he team work on thing in the free time for free. so how pushed to the lenites they are really?
we need to stop use covid as a reason it not relevant the past half a year at last and in the gaming industry was never.

If trust-enabled becomes a hard requirement for all future story content, the design of said content is going to end up suffering heavily. Yoshida essentially admitted last night that Trial 2 in Endwalker was constrained by adding trusts, and that they may have to remove or rework mechanics in older trials to make them trust compatible.
but why. its an MMO. i play this game as its an MMO. its a shity solo rpg if i to be real.
