I think I made a comparable post to this in the Endwalker thread, but I agree. The Endsinger has been completely absent from Etheirys since the time of Elpis. Having music from Ultima or Ishgard, whom she only has tangential connection to, feels out of place. It doesn't help that those themes have already been remixed a fair bit for other bosses that have better connections (Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, etc.) either.

The Phase 2 music is great, since it does tie to both the WoL and Meteion, but I don't care for the Phase 1 being a generic final boss medley.

I think it helps to think of the pieces of Ultima Thule as assembling themes/races from the previous expansions, particularly the Dragons of Heavensward/CoB and the Omicrons of Omega. I've seen a theory postulated that the Ea are what remain of Alexander's Gordians but I haven't been able to find good sources for that conclusion.

Anyway, since the dragonstar factored a bit into her backstory, I think the Nidhogg music kind of works, especially as a sort of contrast to Shinryu.

The only theme that doesn't seem to tie well into Endsinger's theme is the Ultima Weapon music. And that may be more rule-of-cool than anything. Although we could maybe make it relevant as a core feature of the Ascian rejoining scheme...

I'm not offended. I would in fact argue it's quite likely the concept of the Endsinger was designed around or at least heavily influenced by a choral musical mashup. It really is a pretty underwhelming final boss concept but if you view it as a celebration of XIV's soundtrack it seems to make a little more sense.
