What exactly is it you think Bard does other than focus on DPS? Because the songs don't do anything but buff DPS and there are only two abilities that can reduce damage or increase healing, both on a long cool down. The "support" Bards give is pretty minimal on the whole and the majority of the time is spent using archer abilities.

Perhaps I should have been more specific and said selfish dps like black mages. I consider buffing dps of others to be in the support category. I would be interested in seeing a PHYSICAL ranged dps job that matches somewhat the MAGICAL ranged dps category that is inhabited by black mages.
