You can't wait 20 seconds? Take a second and think about what you just said.Alliance Roulette is the reason most alliance raids even happen. Saying, "oh you're doing roulette so you shouldn't expect fast runs" is just dumb.
The bottom line is that people pulling the boss doesn't kick new players out of cutscenes anyway so your entire argument is moot. New people just watch the cutscene and join the battle 10-20 seconds later, usually before any mechanics have even happened. Just get over it.
This isnt supposed to be mean, i bear you no ill will but:
This is a discussion?
Discussions are selfish by nature but there's nothing wrong with it. I'm selfish and said things here that i should not have said, but so did others. I will stand to my words, even if i'm being a hypocrite, i'm not perfect and am not afraid of mistakes i make. If they get pointed out to me in a civil way, i will tell them that they are right 100%.
Yet, despite that, over 90% of the people writing here are trying to stay civil with getting their opinion out.
And that is totally fine, that's how a discussion works.
It's not going to be pretty, it's not going to be perfect, but a bit of clashing of different opinions with people that WANT to have a discussion is not hurting anybody.
It's helping those people that want to have one, to understand the other side more.
Nobody needs a clean and nice ending for one, but a little more "understanding" never hurts, don't it?
Coming into a thread that is mostly... not some petty personal punches, which it shouldnt be, and claiming the moral highground does what exactly?
This thread is legit one of the least worst ones around right now and there's no gatekeeping in saying what YOU want.
As said, i'm a hypocrite and sounded way too absolute and way too "but think of the newbies", but it was to get MY point out, even if it wasnt the right way to do it. Yet, most people confronted me in... not petty ways and thats perfectly fine.
But i'm in no way gatekeeping people that want to speedrun nor want to just go. I understand that, i like fast dungeons too and groan if some people don't aoe or stuff too. I wondered multiple times about tanks stopping after every pull for a bit and wanted them to go faster because it looked like they stopped to write with friends after every trashpull.
Neither do i feel gatekeeped with more people agreeing with the side of "just go".
I can still find some reasoning some people say ""wrong"", as can people find my reasoning wrong.

Being considerate of others. Letting new players enjoy the game like it was meant to be experienced. (Yes, I exclude experienced players from that)
But being polite should be reason enough. We are talking about 20 mere seconds.
20 seconds of tank and spank that adds nothing in the grand scheme of anyone's quality of life especially when taken into consideration that they'll be repeating the fight countless times if they ever get invested in the endgame grind.
If it's such a mere 20 seconds, why should it matter if people pull?
Some people find waiting for others unacceptable. And some are unable to understand how someone can think not waiting is ok. And neither side is going to change their mind.
This problem can only be solved by SE at this point. By taking away the choice of skipping or not.
Just out of personal curiosity: if someone is slow in the supermarket in front of you (at the cashier). Do you wait or try to jump ahead of them so you don't have to wait? Do you apply different ethics to a game because there are no lasting consequences/can't see the other human?
Nobody misses content, though. You get to fight the boss, they get to watch their cutscene, and next time they get to fight the boss without the cutscene.
