Last time I checked, pulling does not automatically skip people's cutscenes. Unless you mean that they miss a raidwide and maybe a textbox of dialogue, which honestly doesn't even count as content.

If we were still in the days of not being able to join a fight after the arena seals I would agree with you, however, we are not in those times anymore.

In the case of Puppet's Bunker it's pretty much a whole phase you miss.

This problem can only be solved by SE at this point. By taking away the choice of skipping or not.

Just out of personal curiosity: if someone is slow in the supermarket in front of you (at the cashier). Do you wait or try to jump ahead of them so you don't have to wait? Do you apply different ethics to a game because there are no lasting consequences/can't see the other human?
No one (out of the people you disagree with) cares if you yourself dont pull early, that's your choice. The real solution is to just not make long cutscenes in the middle of an instance. Your "real world example" is hilariously bad, the more appropriate thought experiment would be 'do I wait or do I go to the cashier right next to me that's free?'. Consider you are going to a store with a bunch of coworkers and one of them is there the first time and is unexperienced with the automated cashier. While they get their bearing with it, you and all your other coworkers go to another cashier. That's how this example works.

Damn those two or three auto attacks really bringing the whole experience around lol.

And Yoshida should have told Yoko Taro to get lost when he insisted on putting a feature length film in the middle of duty.

    ...
If you want to use your example: You go to the next cashier and then quickly leave the store and coworker behind because you can't be bothered to wait for them.

More like you are finished slightly earlier than them and already talk with your buddies outside of the store, making them miss "20 seconds" of small talk.

Miss what? A tank getting punched in the face? A raid wide that will repeat? You over estimate just how much content is missed. Unless it’s last boss Toto-rak I believe has the 2 minute cutscene, you are missing nothing significant.

What is with the supermarket analogy? That is not the same. Not even remotely. I can say unrelated stuff too and have it make as much sense as yours. “ do you wait to cross at a cross walk because someone hasn’t reached the corner yet, so they can cross too?” Unrelated but as valid as your supermarket comparison

It's not just about the length of the cutscene, I was also referring to the fact that the fight changes completely shortly in, so if you miss the first phase you'll see a completely different fight only, plus the fight being way more complex than a raidwide, a few autos and a tankbuster (which tbh would be a huge oversimplification of any alliance raid boss fight).

Unskippable cutscenes in Alliance Raids would be a quick way to kill Alliance roulette. Almost as quick as that time back in SB when the devs got a wild hair up their rump and decided everyone should be allowed to roll need on any gear that drops, regardless of role.

Still don't know what made them decide to do that to this day.
