the easiest solution to this is to just expand the trust NPC system so that if you don't want to be rushed through things the first time and learn how things are meant to be done rather than the data-centre specific mechanics, you have that option.

I don't think a 24-man Trust would work, if they managed to make it 8 or 4 man for Trusts specifically it could be fine but they'd have to redesign the entire Alliance raids content which is designed around 3 groups of 8 people so I don't think it could be done realistically.
