Perhaps you should learn to understand context clues and not try to bait petty arguements.
In HW and maybe even SB as well, they mentioned the possibility of egi glamours to change the egis into newer egis based off other primals. What we got is a couple different colors for carbuncle, no UI system for this, and some long commands to change the glamour. So the fact that nothing beyond a half ass color pallet swap, and something simpler than long text commands to execute an egi glamour does not exist.. It took a while for them to even allow us to change the size of Bahamut back in SB. So I think it is safe to assume that the devs do not see this as any priority or care to even attempt to do anything with egi glamours beyond what we have currently. There fore "it" being egi glamour does not have any future in this game and you are right it does exist but again it is a half ass implementation so the devs can say they did add egi glamour , it just was not what was originally mentioned or what players may have wanted.
I'm just trying to keep the conversation going, that's how change happens. It hasn't been very long really.
It's always "safe" to assume. Summoner just went through a major overhaul to give players something else they have always wanted, and it's obviously not perfect. However it does show they do pay attention to what players want. They had to do some work with the glamours since they had to make sure it works with what are essentially new actions. They probably can't justify (whatever that entails internally) putting even more work into one job this expansion other than the usual "balancing" that will likely happen as the patches go by.In HW and maybe even SB as well, they mentioned the possibility of egi glamours to change the egis into newer egis based off other primals. I agree it would be nice to be able to activate glamours through some sort of interface, but the commands aren't that long, I guess longer than many others, but macros makes it a lot easier.

I am still mad that they mentioned a bismark egi once... And I never got my bismark egi.
I hope it happens, That would be cool.
I don't know if it's possible but I have not been able to catch the short summon in gpose. If you enter gpose they will be there but they quickly go way and don't come back when you cast again. I can't freeze them either.

After much trial and error I was able to get the gem summons to show up in gpose, you have to enter it almost immediately after pressing the ability but just before they start their attack. I didn't need to freeze them once there, they just stood in their idle pose without leaving.
Respectfully at this stage it would be a waste of resources to focus on developing bite-sized egis of full sized primals to swap Carbuncle with when our pantheon normal-sized summons should have largely been complete by now-though I will concede that recolors of Carbuncle should have happened ages ago, given that it couldn't have possibly taken more effort than sliding through a scale of hues/saturation to make them happen. A maximum 10 minute job.
