Are you sure Eukrasian Prognosis is overwriting it and not Eukrasian Diagnosis? Because as Shibi mentioned, it's because Eukrasian Diagnosis shields broken through damage give Addersting stacks to Sages. They can't overwrite their own shield either (except through a bigger Eukrasian Diagnosis).

The whole shield situation is badly designed all the same, though, and just shows how incredibly pigeonholed healers in this game are.

Technically both are. Galvanize and whatever Sage's version is called just swap even if its lower and its... not a good thing. I understand they would need to fix it to work with Sage's Addersting, but its such a pain having the 7000+ barrier overwritten by something more like 3000. Theres gotta be some kind of check they can make to have it work better.

The best check is healers knowing it and SGE not trying to get adderstings mid-fight. Difficult in a fight without trash, where it's ideal generation time pre-pull.

I wonder if another way to charge our Toxicon - it might be a stupid idea - is a way to convert an addersgall into an addersting on top of the normal sheild breaking way. With an oGCD spell like Rhizomata. That gives us a charge on our distance+mobility AOE damage spell, but comes at a cost of one less oGCD big heal, so need to know when it's safe.

Yes. Both of SGE's Eukrasian shields overwrite all Galvanize effects.
