Oh and i haven't seen this mentioned anywhere but i had a WTF moment at the end of the duel with Venat... she uses armiger on us... she only has 3-4 weapons but it is clearly armiger. And being the former Azem, i would think the current one we are a sundered form of should have this power buried down somewhere as well. So i predict in some fight in the distant future, we will have this power. And the more classes we have played and leveled up the more power we will have. Should be an epic moment when it happens.

Corvos will be the backdrop for either the Island Paradise, the still-unknown trial trilogy or relic weapon story, or possibly tied to Pandaemonium or an unmentioned Garlean Restoration. It's been brought up too much to not be a thing, but having no real details means it's probably not going to be something central to much.

Or the thing with Vritra and Esinien will be the side trial, idk if they gonna use the last dragon now already... though its interesting that its confirmed being basically vanished lol

Even if you don't believe Meteion and her words about the universe' destiny, we sure can trust and remember what Midgar-daddydragon said: that Etheirys is the last bastion of Hope, so the last place to have yet life.

What is up with Cocoon just floating out there all nonchalantly out in Ultima Thule? Anyone who has played through Final Fantasy 13 and 13-2 should know how that ended. It fits right in with Meteion’s all worlds are dead theme... and Lightning has popped up in game “training” so all sorts of crazy can happen. Etro is the next logical step in this game. She is literally a gateway of death or a death god... i fully expect her to pop up now. Final Fantasy 14 is a sandbox game, and they have yet to fully utilize the 13 series and Fabula Nova Crystallis Lore.

Crystallized Cocoon being in the background of Ultima Thule has no connection to FFXIV though, it's just a reference to a past FF game for window dressing (if you look closely, the Planet's Core/Imprisoned Holy from FFVII and the assimilation of Gaia and Terra from FFIX also appear in the background in the same way, so it's nothing more than just more fanservice referencing to past FF games that have no actual connection to FFXIV's plot. It's already been well established that each FF game is it's own unique universe independent from FFXIV.

Venat just switches Jobs from PLD to DNC and WHM (the same Jobs she has access to as a Trust in the Ktisis Hyperboriea) - the same distinctive sound effect that occurs when a player character changes class/Job even accompanies her class changing. So she's just using the Armoury System - NPCs have already shown to be able to change class mid-fight in the past where as players cannot for simple pragmatic gameplay reasons. So again it's easily explained in-universe and lore and gameplay correct for FFXIV, and not reflective of any external connection to another FF game.

Emet-Selch mentions a few things. First, the ruins beneath the Bounty - This is practically right next to Thavnair, and Estinien is still just waiting for Vrtra's summons. I would guess this will be the 5.1 dungeon. Next, "the treasure islands beyond the frozen waters of Blindfrost". Sounds interesting, but not very substantive. I'd guess this might be future dungeon content, or field content, or even treasure dungeon content. Then there's the New World and the South Sea isles. The former is clearly expansion-worthy in it's own right, while the latter could easily segue into a Meracydia expansion, which he mentions next as well. The Twelve, well we know that's up next for the alliance raids. Lastly is other civilizations on the shards, which I presume will be content farther into the future after the Source has been more thoroughly fleshed out.

A tangible and real place made of aether, or at least containing it. Since y’shtola can see there. Which I think is more evidence that dynamis and aether can convert into one another.

Thancred’s “Survive.” may have achieved more than we knew. And now it’s all being sustained independently by hope. I think the people in Ultima Thule are essentially real boys now. And there are hints in each area’ quests that they’re regaining a little bit of hope that life might be worth living after we’re done with them.

The fact that Alpha was able to gain a soul despite being a creation of Omega and by extension, the Omicrons makes me think the Stigma 4's cultural salvage operation might be able to truly revive the lost civilizations.

I am curious if the place is going to be a proper daily hub or just something akin to Mor Dhona/Idyllshire that gradually develops on its own as the patch cycle goes along without being connected to any kind of content.

A theory/explanation that I saw elsewhere was that the Scions' sacrifices added aether to what was previously a pure dynamis space, and at the end when Emet and Hyth work their magic to reinforce the aether and release the Scions from being necessary to hold it together, that has now made the various "dynamis ghosts" into physical aether-based beings.

That sounds very logical to me and would mean that after being trapped as a frozen memory of despair all this time, they are suddenly independent beings able to act and think for themselves.
