I want to know what all those scientists in Labyrinthos are going to get up to now that thier life's work is finished with the Ragnorak. Are they going to explore Ultima Thule and try to study Dynamis? It's supposed to be incredibly easy to move back and forth between Ethyris and Ultima Thule after all. Maybe they could eat at the cafe that Omicron opened.

Would you you believe one of the sidequests in the game actually does cover this one!

The Studium capstone quest confirms that there's desire to pivot Labyrinthos into being a center for interstellar travel and communicating with alien species, with all the various departments from the Studium quests chipping in on how they do that; department of astrology charting the routes, departments of archaeology and language determining how to speak to an alien species while the department of anthropology figure out how to actually interact culturally, so on.

If you talk to Livingway, Urianger, and Thancred in the Ragnarok hanger post-EW, they mention the Lopporits and the forum are currently putting their heads together about how to make use of the moon and set up transit to it. So I think that might be Sharlayan’s focus for now.

So, I'll admit straight away that I'm totally biased because I've loved this little weirdo since I first saw him, but I'd really like to see a Fandaniel short story. I feel like we didn't get to see a lot of him as him before going on to meet Hermes, and there's a lot of potential for character introspection when it comes to someone who conceals so much of himself with melodramatics. What does he do when there's no one but him around, for example? What's going through his mind with regards to his partnership with Zenos? I have my fair share of thoughts on this, but it'd be cool to see how the writers handle that.

Aside from that, though, the other thing I'm particularly interested in (and it looks like I'm not the only one) is a story around Vrtra or Nidhana - the former is probably more likely, but I can dream of some Fun Times With Alchemists. Dragons in XIV are fascinating, and I'd really love to read something that explores Vrtra, especially because of the sheer depth of his love for his people. Considering what happened in Thavnair, though... it'd be likely to be pretty bittersweet, huh? :'^)

Definitely would love an introspective short about Fandaniel, what his memories are and how they are causing him pain. The game insists he is in despair but we don't really get to see that.

I doubt Fandaniel will have a short. Hermes yes, Fandaniel no.

But I think he is one of the characters who most needs one since his pain is what started all of the nonsense happening in this expansion.

I doubt this will happen but a short story about Cid and Nero picking through the (presumed?) ruins of the Magitek Academy would be a nice bookend for the first short story we got about them.
