    The stat squish has nothing to do with it. SE simply doesn't balance old content whatsoever. In Shadowbringers, Ninja had 1,040 raw potency in the form of Kasssatu + Raiton compared to a laughable 540 in Heavensward. You then have jobs like Dancer or Gunbreaker that are woefully imbalanced at lower levels and it starts to show when the content falls apart. Someone else also mentioned Direct Hit, which didn't exist at the time. Tenacity is another factor as it replaced a stat which didn't provide any damage in parry. Simply put, the dev team hasn't cared to properly adjust any content below 80 and seem entirely happy to let players blitz through it with virtually no struggle whatsoever.

    I did notice a change on E7N the one with Garuda and Ifrit, and they merge into Ratkapaksa.
    There is this mechanic that you have to share with someone, otherwise you get shot up in the air and it would always kill you if you didn't, even as Tanks.
    You can survive it alone now because my sprouts kept running away with it and surviving.
    I thought that was quite lame..
    Its not current anymore ik, but it makes people not learn mechanics if you can just survive it doing it wrong..

    If this is your response then there is something seriously fundamentally wrong with the roulette system. And if you care so little for the supposedly central pve content of the game (party duties) that only the very last few matter... Why even play?
    Why even have 7+ different dungeons per expansion if their design is fundamentally the same since 2015?
    Why have trash pulls if they're meant to be weak punching bags to make you spam aoes?
    Why have 100 jobs if their structure gets exponentially more homogenized each expansion?
    Why pretend you're adding new monsters when 99% of them are direct recycled models with a different texture and down to the exact same animations?
    Why boast about a long list of new tracks when half of them overuse the same 1 or 2 leitmotifs almost in their entirety?
    Why say the game is a real Final Fantasy like all the rest when you refuse to commit to that design fully?
    Why say the game is a MMORPG like any other when you refuse to commit to that design fully?

    I was almost sure I'd end up quitting after Endwalker, but the way the stat squish affected the older content was the straw that broke the camel's back for me. You're telling me it isn't bad enough that the non high-end content since Shadowbringers is a tedious passive chore of a shallow experience, you're also going to destroy the little fun I had in older content designed back when you still cared about dungeon design?

    No thanks Creative Business Division 3. I've had enough of your visions for XIV.

    Its generally two things: Ilvl creep and potency creep. The latter is ridiculously prevalent since despite the stat squish, potencies were not reduced to the same extent as enemy health.
    Plus the game has been made far too easy through various nerfs and SE making jobs into roles rather than jobs (plus removal of core job elements like enmity managment, mp management, resource management jobs becoming rotation, procs etc)

    Genuinely I was hoping that the stat squish would make more duties have mechanics seen. But nope, thank goodness I wasn't expecting anything to change otherwise i'd have been disappointed.

    mechanics should be punishing to teach you how to avoid them. But when orange aoes tickle well why would a sprout dodge

    Over the years this game has become too casual/accessible to the point its hurting new player experience since everything is a faceroll and veteran's enjoyment since every duty is a snore fest. Plus when sprouts get to sb/shb althought those two are easier than the res tof the game, sprouts are still failing basic mechanics when they really shouldn't be sprouts by that point.

    This. I still remember back early in the expansion where quite a few people would AFK until they got vote dismissed if they got Shinryu. Kinda sad really.

    Personally, I don't think they need to boost the difficulty as much as they just need a stricter iLv cap on it. No reason we should be able to out gear the fight by 120iLv. At least maintain the integrity of what those trials were built up to be.

    I mean, yes and no.
    It's not so much that we know the content than it is our gear is just sync'd out of wack.

    Examples:

    A) Copperbell Mines was originally a "learning" dungeon. The first two bosses still work (tank grab adds that spawn for #1 and "Use the interactables" for #2)..but final boss you HAD to focus on the adds to prevent the second wall from being broken and then being swarmed by lots and lots of adds. Now you just zerg the boss. People probably don't even realize there ARE adds. This fight still does work correctly if you have a group using at-level gear.

    B) The 2.0 raid series was originally designed for 2 tanks and 4 DPS, but they changed it to 1 tank and 5 DPS, but did not adjust enemy HP. Couple that with creep and people don't even realize Scylla has a battery charge mechanic. Or that you need to kill the skeletons away from the dragon in LotA? Or do people even know Behemoth has battery towers that need to be dealt with? Or that the giant needs to be kept away from the alliance or he'll wreck face? Not anymore!

    Yall just wanna see people get 1 shot as soon as they're hit by 1 AOE and tank busters that ignore defense and drop tanks like flies.

    That still is a thing but it requires that a tank sac pulls it and very few will bother with that. I do it sometimes but there's gonna be the idiot healer who will rescue me behind a meteor and the giant will come and whack 20+ people. One death to prevent a wipe? Yes I will take it.

    Before someone says it, yes if the giant "cooperates" and turns with you so that its back is facing away from everyone while you're still being shielded by the meteor(you need to be a few steps behind) you can survive, but again a rescue ranger can still screw that up.

    It's a consequence of the game seeking to appeal to as many potential customers as possible in the name of 'accessibility'. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is - many fights have entire phases that are actively skipped altogether which in turn means that by never seeing them in action, when those mechanics show up again newer players aren't properly prepared to counter them.

    I thought one person with comet marker would put it next to tank that is dealing with giant away from the rest so it would prevent death.
    Nowadays people just put all meteors together and it is always a gamble if we die from constant chip damage or accidentally blow up a rock lol
