losing player aside, iam more worried that SE decide to give ff14 oceanic server is only because they got swept up to this "ff14 crazy player increase" trend

its all start because wow kinda on bad situation now and youtube trend with that "wow refugee", now that wow is on microsoft hand, things going to change in the future and that new server is not gonna worth of it cost, since people especially the "refugee" will return to wow later

I always thought the amount of worlds they were adding was pretty excessive, but it does future proof things, and there will be more housing available for players. Oceania having.. what was it five worlds (?), is still a bit much, in my opinion. EU definitely needed the additions, however, from what I hear.

The Flood of Players will come back upon every major patch release.

It's mostly future proofing.
