    If it was caused by 6.05, then it's very strange that it didn't start until more than a week AFTER 6.05 came out. Also the freezing I'm experiencing is not associated with the audio bug, it happens when the audio is playing just fine. I'm not convinced that it's not caused by something on my computer.

    The problem is antagonised by amount of sounds, which some jobs have more than others (ranged in particular), its fine for you to be non believing about this, i wasn't either until i correlated momentary pausing in chrysalis and P4 to my sound being muted and then did a deeper investigation into the individual thread cpu loads.

    your AMD Fx processor fits the criteria for the worse of the issues where muting isn't even required.

    Regardless, the fix is in 6.08.
