About the event...

I came to post about the same. Given the recent attention given to the new races, I really had high hopes that we'd finally stop being cut out of events at least. But no....not the case. I just can't understand it, they could have at least given us just the clown nose? Just shrunk down the hat like the miniture hats the viera sometimes get?

I would have absolutely LOVED a tiny viera top hat. The only way I can use the item now, is if I choose to use mods, but that's againt ToS, and I shouldn't have to mod the game in order to fully enjoy an event anyway.

I have bucket loads of love for the development team and how much work has gone into Endwalker. I've never enjoyed a game as much as I've enjoyed the new expansion, but I just can't help feeling really negative about how the new races are being presented when they are *still* cutting players out of events and loot in this way. What's even the point of spending resources developing races when they can't be used to the full extend of existing races, and end up cutting you out of events and drops if you play them?

Exactly. On the one hand Square Enix says "don't use mods", on the other I see a lot of people managing to wear a series of hats and hair, which I can't use for fear of losing my account.

If they don't want people to use it, why do they seem to encourage this type of content?

Those mods are run client side, unless you post SS or tell people in game you are using these things, how will anyone know?

I highly doubt you're gonna lose your account to using mods unless you're the type to go around Limsa screaming your head off about the mods you're using. Game itself can't detect it.
