Bye bye turbo craft bots!

a majority of the people i know who do it have some sort of button pressing program or turbo control, and are super defensive about using them, i mean seriously go look at the turbo control threads and see how many people cried out about how they were so ok to use and its not fair we were singling them out

there have been a few new ones ive come across recently too, theres a certain miner on our sevrer running a program that lets him mine in 1 spot continuously(ive undone my filters to watch him, he hits a node 8 times, then takes his tool out and repeats it over and over, always at same node) but those are few and far between in comparison

Well crap, that sounds like an outright hack. If they are that good at programming, I wonder why they are wasting time writing programs to collect worthless raw materials in XIV. LOL

interesting fact though, i have seen another bot that runs gathering out anywhere too, and it has a bad habit of glitching(character will continuously teleport over and over as he takes out his axe/hatchet) until he starts mining/logging a node, and then, he is at least 20-30 yards away by the time he starts to actualy mine/log it.

more interesting, its the same shell, different people, every time i see this happen, some may call it some sort of lag, but there is no coincidence its the same shell, and only people in that shell every time i see it, and that im not the only one who has witnessed it coming only from them

I've actually seen the far away harvesting before in Horizon. There were some people late night harvesting trees, as was I, but they were able to harvest from like 30 yalms away. It really seemed suspicious, but I chalked it up to server response time or something.

when you see it, take a look at their shell, i dont wanna name names(partly cuz its against forum rules) but youll start to notice a pattern on who does it, and how its always them and their shell doing it and no one else

at first it just looks like a lag bug perhaps, but then it starts to get suspicious and just cant be coincidence after youve seen enough of it

the far away harvest is not a hack. try it yourself because it's easy to do. run to the node, open your menu, click mine/harvest/fish, and start running away. when the server registers you hit the button it stops you and turns you around. it's a good judge of how laggy the server is on your end to get a long distance from the node.

i do it everytime i harvest for a few different reasons. 1. if someone else is gathering in your area you don't cover the node so they can easily see it(i use to hate when you had 1 node and 5 people trying to farm off it because then it was difficult to target). 2. it's just funny to see how far i can get or what strange position i can be standing in once it registers me.

you can use the fountain in front of gogo in ud for one example. try that fountain for fishing and run away. you can get about halfway from the fountain to gogo and be fishing in the middle of the street facing away from the fountain.

like i said you don't have to take my word on it, but just try it and see for yourself. it's not a hack by any extreme just because you are a long way from the node. that person may be hacking, but that is not one of the ways to determine if they are or not because that is easily done by anyone.

I don't doubt you at all. Like I said, I just assumed it was due to some sort of time delay or something.

nah it wasn't about doubt. i was just trying to explain how it's done. it is legit to do. i just hate the they are doing something so they must be cheating that was coming from above you that got my attention. i didn't want someone to get the wrong impression when it is more easier to explain it and let someone try it for themselves and they will see. it will show your screen as moving normal btw, but on another players screen it looks like you are doing some kind of strange glitch slide.

it's just like in ud you had a few places you would stand and it looked like you were flying(stairs off the balcony by adventurers guild).

1 run to node
2 hit harvest
3 run away as fast as you can

i use a controller so i start running away as soon as the harvest icon pops up and click the button while retreating because the analog buttons respond great. you will get a big distance between you and the node.

I have seen this also, someone mining from very far away on every node. I obviously asked him how he was doing that but got no response. I thought i was lagging, but every other miner on the same nodes was normal, except that guy.

um.. doing the leve for gathering where you have to find the superior item, you can 100% tell where it is and you can keep gathering from that node by putting your tool away and re-gathering, what they are doing is trying to get sweat of brow to proc. HA. lack of understanding on how the game works is funny

PS there is no way to "hack" the game to give you more nodes or drops or gear or free lvls., there are only memory edits to move you along. placing you in areas before the 14 servers do, then they update.
but then you get stuck in a wall and have to call a gm to get you out

nope this wasnt that, i was actualy watching him, i was seeing him gather 8 seperate items in a row and then put his axe away and pull it back out
that IS NOT a leve or any type of misunderstanding, thats a straight out hack

its along the same lines as the fish hack that lets you fish anywhere in game wether or not there is water
