    They tried, i think microsoft wanted an xbox live subscription to be required to play since it was an online game, square enix didn't want players paying two subscriptions to play on xbox. Also i think microsoft wanted exclusivity and SE wasn't gonna do that.

    You pay SE the money to buy the expansions, and pay for the subscription. No PS+ necessary at all.


    Just like Halo Infinite Multiplayer on Xbox
    Doesnt require a Gold Sub to play

    Yeah a quick google search show me that. Im surprised Sony allowed that. There's a ton of games i cant play multiplayer due not being able to afford plus.

    It's because this game was released before ps+ was a thing and was grandfathered when Sony made online gaming a part of ps+.

    Wrong all free to play games on Sony don't need plus and all games that have a sub u don't need plus

    Sony policy with playing online without the need of PS+ is: Free to play games and Pay to Play games. Of course P2P games this day are very rare (probably only XIV in the ps store), but you can freely play f2p games online like Fortnite.
