They cannot, as I said.
Scanning peoples PCs is illegal, anti cheat is something Yoshida is against (Invasion of privacy). It's used to help raid teams seek their peeps for Savage/Ultimate raids, and it's really helpful to cut down traps.

Why must you(and every other huff n puffer) infer to wow players as the culprit? Swathes of people can and will be like that in general.
I've had parties that do the exact opposite, the healer usually gets their panties bunched up when I try to wall to wall... I'm like okay and pull less.
Maybe you should try to communicate you're not comfortable pulling wall2wall/large packs of mobs. Most can understand. Those that can't, well... no use trying to placate everyone.
The only way it's bannable if the person using a parser gets a big inflated head and begins harassing people-- that becomes a punishable offense. Otherwise it's not that big an issue.

Come on SE, more dyeable mogstore npc outfits and 60/70 alliance raid gear. Do them all.
I can just imagine AI Alisaie giving lip if your WoL is a tank and you're not wall to wall pulling lolSo you ran into some bad eggs who called you nasty names. Seems like you're extrapolating from this and using the very convenient toxic WOW player boogeyman to blame an entire community. As others have said before, dungeons are a collaborative effort. If the other players aren't willing to accommodate you - just leave. You don't have to grit your teeth, moaning about the toxic players under your breath while willfully suffering in the dungeon. Take the penalty (and you have 3 strikes, I find it hard to believe that all 3 attempts will be a failure) and try again. But at the end of the day, understand that single pulling will always be less efficient (and frowned upon) compared to wall to wall pulls. Perhaps you should try running trusts instead if you want to go at your own pace, the NPCs certainly won't mind.
Do trusts and FATEs or Bozja. There are options if you want a Job to 90 but don't want to play with others.So I'm experiencing what it is like to be a tank and I have to say to all the tanks out there;
"I am sorry but you must have the patience of a saint"
Honestly, it is probably the role that gets the most abuse in the game. If you want to go slower because you are still learning how to tank and interrupt abilities, you get yelled at by DPS.
If you want to pull one group at a time, you get yelled at...
Its such a toxic experience, I am not surprised the Roulette wants tanks most of the time.
I wanted to level a Paladin because they have the coolest armour (In my opinion) but the toxic nature of tanking has REALLY put me off levelling one. The toxicity in this game has made a massive spike since we started getting a huge influx of WoW refugees here. Coincidence...?
I rarely get abused as a tank and when it does happen it's always a freaking healer who wants to rescue me into another pull because they think I've stopped when I'm just trying to establish aggro on the pack I was on..that's the only time I will /leaveinstance. I will never single pull an entire dungeon UNLESS the healer/dps is horrendously bad - and that is also rare.
This is contrast to when I'm a healer though. Most tanks have a field day with me and their 0 CD use or pulling more than their bodies can handle.
Oh ffs.
I don't even know why people call them "single pulls".
They are half pulls.
99% of people pull at least 2 packs at a time; there are almost always only 2 packs available. THOSE are the "pulls".
Ding, ding, wrong. Big pools have been around since ARR, WoW people had nothing to do with it.No, that is simply not true. No other role has you babysitting a bunch of children that are constantly whining for you to "go faster" which heavily increases your chances to make mistakes. As a healer main, I have never told my tank to pull more then they feel capable of just to get the dungeon finished a couple minutes faster. It is done, when its done and I wish the DPS had the same maturity.
This is the problem when we've had an influx of the WoW playerbase (which tends to be younger then the core FFXIV playerbase). Its why this game had such a wonderful community for so much longer as the game appealed to an older, more mature playerbase.

It's always the people who don't consistently raid who have this genuinely awful take. I've yet to run across someone who takes the scene seriously who's anti-parse.
