It is done, when its done and I wish the DPS had the same maturity.

This is the problem when we've had an influx of the WoW playerbase (which tends to be younger then the core FFXIV playerbase). Its why this game had such a wonderful community for so much longer as the game appealed to an older, more mature playerbase.
Ding, ding, wrong. Big pools have been around since ARR, WoW people had nothing to do with it.

*profusely sweating with Wanderer's Palace wall-to-wall pulls as a healer*

But seriously, I'm from JP server so I have never encountered that kind of tank. Sure there are the daredevils, and sure there are the slowpokes, and there are the "im saving all my cds for oh-sh*t moments" tank. But ultimately they are open for discussion. Small chats like "can we take it slow? I'm new" or "Tank you can pull more, I got your back" is quite magical at turning the pace of the dungeon.

On the other hand, being <insert a role here> does not entitle you to anything. As someone said in the post. It's a dungeon of 4, not 1.

Oh, and I don't think WoW's toxicity is being carried over here. And yes there have been toxic players since ARR, even XIV can't escape that. Community is nice simply because it's contagious IMO. If everyone smiles at you saying good morning when you take a morning walk, chances are you'll probably do the same after a while.

Short story. I was doing practice runs for E5S (Eden Ramuh Savage) when someone in the party said "I'm sorry my practice time is better spent without this m*r*n" and he pointed at me, then left. Few days after I practiced again and saw him in the party, then I said "I'm sorry I'm not gonna waste his time again", pointed to him, then I left. Moments later the leader PMed me saying "Hey man we're all practicing here why so much fear?". And then I explained it to him (or her idk) about the previous run. He asked if I wanted to join again, I did, and he's still there. Leader proceeds by saying "if you can't take an idiot, go to Duty Completion tag or just leave right now" and proceeds to queue. Eventually we didn't clear but he sticks around until 78 mins in.

Oh my, that was my nightmare, as healer.
I remember when the only tomes options were WP and AK, I'd just spam AK because of how much I hated WP. (but then the anxiety of being chased was a big part of it too)
