[RP18+] and "beautiful company" in the same line is usually a codeword for a brothel venue, so it was probably interpreted as that by the GM, and advertising brothel venues in PF (regardless of my personal opinion on them being all right with them) is not allowed.

Interpretation is not a warrant for a 3 day suspension. There were several others with nothing of the sort that could be 'interpreted' as such either that were hit with a suspension as well. It just doesn't make sense.

Maybe venues have reasons to prefer moderately mature people in their RP Venue, there's thousands of 18+ FCs, groups, communities etc. and there's no rules saying that kids need to be included in everything. Maybe someone wants to do some more dark or mature RP themes without little Timmy running to mother.

I agree it would be nice to be able to exclude kids from venues. But that's probably the reason those venues are getting banned, so the only conclusion that can be drawn is that square wants you to invite kids to mature rp activities.

If those activities are approaching illegal territory should a minor be a part of them, you need to find a way to verify their age and "18+" doesn't cut it. If it isn't illegal, just remove the age limit so your activities don't get confused with illegal ones.

It has been noted time and time again that ERP is not an issue by previous GMs. Re: the linked thread in the original post. There is also nothing of the sort listed in the party finder to warrant it being inappropriate.

The problem is dumb as it may sound I can guarantee is the 18+ remove that and I seriously doubt it will be flagged 18+ makes people instantly thing lewd I personally don't care cause I'm not a stuck up karen who grimaces at a bit of skin but yeah remove the 18+

ERP and advertised erp are different things tho no?

Game is 13+ in the US. Image matters for publicity.

For what it's worth, there was a similar instance of this back in March or April I believe, that it was found that a GM was banning all RP advertisements in PF-Other due to personal belief. I believe the community got extra mad that one person got a suspension for a PF that said "I'm leveling fishing, come hang out."

Not saying this is a similar instance, but it's a possibility. Either way, as an owner of a venue that is about to re-open, advertisements continue to be a source of debate. Some GMs say they are fine, others wipe and ban anything they see. The rules clearly say they are allowed, but there's still debate.

This post will most likely boil down to everyone's personal belief but once again, we need clear-cut definition from Square Enix.

We can argue semantics of 'who should be allowed where' when it comes to roleplay and whatever else, but that's all completely irrelevant.
The fact of the matter is that someone has been banned from the game and a strike put on their account when they've done nothing whatsoever in violation of the TOS as it is written.
Regardless of what you may feel about "18+" roleplay, we need better transparency between GMs and players on what they've done wrong, where, and how to fix it so that they're no longer in violation.
