I have yet to run anything with trusts as I haven't got that far in the story yet. I will say if trusts are even half as bad as trying to run a dungeon with the Grand Company thing I want no part of them. Give me new, bad, or leaving players any day over that nightmare.

Also new people DO need to run things with other people in an easily accessible way. It teaches them how to do it and deal with stuff hits the fan moments in the way no automation system can possibly do. So I really do not see this movement to move more and more stuff to trusts as a particularly good thing. Don't want to run things with new or less accomplished people then don't queue up.

I had the grand idea this week to finally start leveling up my trusts, and so far I have them up to level 75, but I don't know if I want to continue. D: The lack of AoEs + having to pull most things as a single pack is rather annoying to me. :x I'm trying to fix my mindset with them as it's just supposed to be a more relaxed way to get through dungeons, but aaaarg. lol.

I know the feeling. I found using the grand company group thing to be frustration incarnate. Having to micromanage all the NPCs so they didn't hair off and pull more than could be handled or stand in the bad or whatever other hairbrained thing was just DRAINING. Gave up pretty quick on it.

Like I said I havent used trusts yet but if they are half as bad as what I did try with Grand Company I am not looking forward to it.

Trusts are way better than squadrons, they do their job with no input from you, they do mechanics, the tank will keep the mobs off you etc. The only downside to them is they dont do any aoe dmg, so the run will likely be slower than with other people, generally they take about 30mins. But if you're a dps with a queue, it might even out in time spent since joining with trust is instant.

Also if you die, it's an instant wipe, and have to run back.

    Thanks much for the explanation.

I really think this would be helped if either they added another option to the MSQ roulette, or made it a trust duty/dungeon.

Personally, I'd say you're either going about it a bit wrong, or maybe I'm just biased because the stat boosts they get...

Squads are awesome. Standing in bad doesn't even matter, they'll tank anything. They also use aoe skills. You'll still have to pull single groups, just like trusts. Two is possible, but finicky, much like trusts. They might not do mechanics, but that's just because they're all juggernauts.

If you run enough dungeons with them and/or get lucky enough, they get stat boosts (their "orders" or tactics or whatever). If you get real lucky, you can get your whole group boosted +60% dps. They are insane. (granted, boosting them all in Offensive to Mastery 5 is a chore probably not worth doing, but even some of the lesser tactics make life easier)

It may also depend slightly (or heavily) on your composition. You only get one choice of healer, but if you take an Arcanist, they'll assist. Not sure if there's a great difference in tanks, but Gladiator still uses Flash, which blinds, can be beneficial. I'm.... not actually sure if there's any great benefit to taking any other dps, come to think of it. Partly because my Arcanist has the highest dps boost (because I keep using them....), partly because I can't think of anything the old classes really bring to the table, besides maybe Rogue with Trick Attack...

Anyway. I love 'em. I love knowing that even if I'm barely contributing, they'll do a fantastic job of burning everything down. The biggest difference is probably just that tanks don't pay as much attention to aggro as trusts, so they're sometimes inattentive of something hounding you.

They actually do have AoE attacks. The issue is they won't use them exclusively like a player will when there are multiple enemies in a group. However I noticed some combinations when doing each initial duty clear during the MSQ with trusts were killing everything in the group at a noticeable pace like Alphanaud, Alisaile, and Yshtola with me as tank.

Honestly all the roulettes should have the daily bonus used up if you leave. I mean it's called a roulette for reason. Sometimes you get something you don't like as much, but it is a roulette and to get the bonus you should be doing what you get.

Also msq roulette can stay getting 7-10 tomes during moogle event is nice and it's a relaxing way to farm them. Nothing wrong with msq roulette. If you don't like doing ether don't queue for it it's not hurting you by being there if you don't want to do it.

Delete the roulette entirely and turn it into trust dungeon or solo duty.
