It's pretty hard to "clutter up our bars" considering there aren't enough abilities available to any given class to fill them all at the moment.
Why do you seem to have such disdain for people who like to leverage the full potential of the action bar interface?
I'd rather press '0' than 'alt-0', personally, but hey, whatever works for you. Macros are fine, the menu is not. The menu takes forever to pop up, and is sluggish and unresponsive. It's fine for something like the revival items which you don't use very often. But for potions and ethers, you want quicker access to them when you're in a bind. And when I'm in a bind, I want to battle the enemy, not the user interface.I'll stick to my macros and using the menu designated for that. Even with a gamepad it's not that hard.
