It's really telling who has actually played this game during an expansion launch before and who hasn't tbh.

All these new people who got to dive into 4 expansions and 8 years worth of updates being relevant ,experienceable content, suddenly are "caught up" and when the one major release since they joined happens they locust through it like they turbo-burned through the rest and then:

I enjoy these complaints about the dancing pole, supposed furry invasions etc. by puritanical prudes so much! I wish SE would put even more naughty subtext or overt stuff into the game hahaha.
Otherwise, I personally think EW is a minor step up from Shadowbringer, which I liked at release. So EW is even better.
2 more jobs means that much more work for weapons, animations and skins, so every expansion the load of assets to be designed grows - and what none of the complainers about the "lacking" armor sets here mentions, we got plenty of unique skins for the new jobs in OLD content! Ravel Keepers Scythe, anyone? It even has a glow effect!

But the important part (where SE failed badly in Shb) is the content patch cycle. I hope EW is as good as Stormblood with it, and not as bad as Shb.

the endgame is usally pretty barebones when an expansion has launched, we'll be getting plenty more content in the upcoming patches.

well, I hate to be "that person" but Stormblood didnt have quite as much real world stuff going on that would directly interfere with things like a patch schedule.

Why the butt hurt?
This was a story on the level of GOT season 8. It failed to kill even 1 main npc.ib an end of the world story. Meteond reasoning was never working one.she got sad so let's kill all life? Make the Asians the good guys after all the did was cheap.all in all a 6/10 story. Not HW or ShB

This seems to be the truth a majority of the time sadly.Just look at my other thread where people are trying to use Soken’s cancer to emotionally manipulate which is pretty disgusting tbh. Whenever a flaw is pointed out with the game, it is met with go play another game.I think a majority of the people who bring up complaints again and again are doing so because they’ve specifically been quieted down in the past. It’s not an unknown thing that the 14 community can’t handle criticism, it’s the truth plain and simple. They feel they need to defend this game and it’s devs and that it could do no wrong and that just isn’t true. The fact is though will any of it change? Probably not. So many people are fine with getting the bare minimum which, is fine, but for a lot of other people it’s sad to see their money being shoveled away into other games when it really should be put towards this one. While others may have toxic negativity 14 seems to have toxic positivity and one day it just may be it’s downfall when SE can’t even get constructive criticism from it’s players because they’re all being told the game is perfect.

This to me is easily one of the most worrying things that can come about as a result of the way the overarching community reacts to any form of negative/not completely positive feedback. I did see your other thread where it took less than 3 minutes for someone to try to emotionally lambast you in regards to Soken's Cancer. It's completely banal and just evil as far as I'm concerned and anyone that feels it's their right to lay a near terminal disease at someone's feet as a response to criticism needs help.

Regardless of all this though, I'm glad in this particular thread there has been at least some consensus in regards to the need for more bang for our collective bucks. This expansion has been a colossal disappointment to many of us and it's a good thing we can espouse our views with integrity and clarity.

Is OP new to FFXIV? They have been doing this cadence for content scheduling since HW.

Also pure lol at the links to "servers." Those are cloud services with relatively low server specs that FFXIV is clearly not designed to utilize. Yoshi has said himself that they looked into cloud servicing at one point and found it to not be a viable option, which in all honesty it really wouldn't be. Cloud services are not really designed to handle this type of stuff as GW2 players found out when that game attempted to move to cloud services rendering the game unplayable for over a year.

Fate boss music needs to be updated, we still had ARR music for mid boss battle until 5.3...

Man I sure do like flying over nothing but water to get to my destination.
Azem steppes? 60% of it was grass if not more.
Even ShB final area was too big but empty. I could feel that when there was a hunt somewhere.

Voice acting... Well yes, I wish we had voice acting during raid.
We all remember iconic lines, if I just say "Ravana", "Susano" or "SoS" you will have sudden voice lines that will come to you.

Server issues, login was hard. But the game itself had no problems.
Yes they need to upgrade the login, but to say the servers had many issues is a stretch.

I'm not defending SQEX this time, we had the same amount of content we did but waited a longer time for it.
I've been disappointed by the disparity between the job updates. I'm still salty about that "it looks like nothing changed about MCH but huuuh let's talk about it anyway."
If Yoshida said "Actually it's just to avoid a development crush." I could understand it, they could've asked for a year.
