I love it when I get repeated drops because then I can drop the old ones and get new, undamaged ones for free.
You crafters will NEVER have my G5 Dark Matter.

I KNOW RITE, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE MY 19 STACKS OF DARK MATTER. IT'S MINE, ALL MINE.
You are assuming that everyone considers content as the same thing.
Levelling a class is not content to me, its a means to an end, nor do I consider crafting content as It doesn't interest me other than melding my own items or repairing my own gear again a means to an end.
Content for me is stuff like dungeon and primals of which there is still a lack of, its getting better and sure the dev team can only work as fast as they can work, but IMO there is still a lack of content.
I agree with most of your post regarding drops being too low and convoluted though.
Some games have both tokens and equipment drops though. They need to just make it like every other game, scrap the totem/charm thing and put the weapon into an inventory which members can then distribute it.
They seem to be trying so hard to prevent ninja looting it is screwing over everyone in the end.
Drop rate of the items are fine, just make them distributable.
Yoshi-p has already said he plans to have some kind of need before greed system in 2.0 which will solve the majority of problems.

The only moot point in my post is that I thought people getting low drop rates was because of pre patch conditions. The rest is valid. Some of us got a drop every two kills, others every ten kills, and then there's you - every 50 kills. What can I say? Sucks for you bro, better luck next time.
Or maybe there really is a GM playing Ifrit behind every Primal Fight who determines what drop you will get based on your attitude and gives you a drop for being nice and helpful, or not for being a complete ****.
I am sorry you feel that way, I have never been butthurt and hope it never happens to me.I'm so butthurt it took me so long to be 7/7 for both ifrit and moogle, so butthurt. I know it's my own fault for not controlling the rng gods, and yes I was doing my best to brag about killing a stupid fight an obscene amount of times. Man you got the best of me. Did I mention I'm butthurt?
My point about all this QQ being a result of lack of lacking endgame PewPew is valid though.
If there were more primals you would be out there trying to obtain those other priaml gears and if it was just as hard or tedious to get as Ifrit's weapons you wouldn't be on the forums complaining, you would be out in Eorzea standing proud and bragging. Why? Because the way it stands, the only end game content is to max all jobs to 50, get 7/7 Ifrit weapons and 7/7 moogle weapons and once you've done all of that, you are just like the rest - no feeling of pride, no sense of accomplishment and no fond memories to be had. But if there were 7 priamls that each dropped 7 diff items, with a similar drop rate - maybe, just maybe it would take 1 year to get all that loot, and by the end you would feel like a BAMF because the rest of the people around you might have only accomplished half as much in the same amount of time.
Cause wasting an entire year of your life for a stupid fucking game is awesome? Fuck mang, i've been doing it wrong.
This is what happens when they try to be different for the sake of it, what was wrong with it's predecessor's way of dealing with summon loot?

Luck != Accomplishment
You should probably quit this game right now. There are FFXI veterans around this neck of the woods that spent 5+ years playing XI, and i doubt any of them would call it a "waste". If you see yourself as "wasting" time playing XIV, hy bother playing it for even second? That just makes you a loser.
Luck =/= accomplishment, but perseverance does.
Only losers here are fanboys with hopes of anything decent until 2.0, keep white knighting bro.
P.S. Some of the stuff I say is sarcasm just in case you didn't get it.
